This was recommended to us by the hotel on the first night. You don't need to book so it's a good backup option. Pros: - food is ok - big portions - good sangria - cheap (relative) Cons: - there seems to be a "foreign tourist" corner hidden to the side... - Portuguese seem to get better service - dark... More

During my stay in Lisbon, I came to eat here three times. The food is great (me and my family tried several fish dishes), the wines as well (white and red) and the staff tries to help as much as possible even if they don't know a lot of English.

We went there for dinner without a reservation. The food was good, but not exceptional. The staff were very friendly. They had a good selection of dishes and wine. We had the Sea bass and cod. The bass was not exceptional, I had better elsewhere in Portugal, but, not bad at all.

We dined at this restaurant on recommendation of a hotel concierge as it appeared did most of out fellow guests service was prompt and efficient and we had high expectations as the prices were about 20% higher than what appeared similar restaurants nearby. We had a meat and seafood dish. The meat was tasty but overcooked and a little tough.... More

We were recommended this restaurant by a Lisboner... As soon as you sit down, the waiter will bring you some cooked meat and cheese 'nibbles' along with the bread. If you eat them, you'll pay for them which will add around Euro 8-10 to the bill. So if you don't want them, send them away. They are not free. The... More

Rabo de Boi (Ox-tail stew) is one of my weaknesses, though it's a cholesterol bullet. I self-medicate with "tinto", though and go on with the moveable feast. This restaurant is small, in a mixed residential/commercial neighborhood and couple of blocks from either Saldanha or San Sebastiao Metro stations. The setting is quiet, almost intimate and frequented by locals. We were... More

Today it's your lucky day as I'm revealing one of my favourites restaurants in Lisbon and I shall only say that I'm having lunch quite frequently at this quite unique place serving Portuguese grand mothers home cooked meals escorted by a great wine cellars selection . Go there and choose from daily's dishes written on the Menu in blue and... More

We were recommended this restaurant by people staying in our hotel. Came on our last evening in Lisbon. It's was only 5 minutes walk Very busy on a Friday evening. A lot of tables were reserved. We had the seafood platter for two persons at 48 euros well worth it as ours included lobster (my favourite). This came with vegetables... More
