So the guys working there are nice, but if you say you want to share a lobster they might talk you into getting two which sell for about 100€ a pop. Kinda like going to a strip bar for a beer but ending up getting.....never mind. The dishes are very mediocre. Don't expect to find something where you go "wow,... More

If you are looking for a nice fish or shellfish, this is a good and honest place in center Lisbon There is also a specialty called "Picapau", sliced meat with seasoning very good option too. Do not forget the french fries, really good!

Food was stunning! Fast service!! Enjoy the olives and breads and then dive into a bowl full of prawns! Flavour was immense and the prawns were so succulent. We had cod, veg and potatoes for mains and that too was melt in your mouth. Would go there again!

We went for lunch, returned fpr dinner and were pleased. We would come back if in Lisbon again. We noticed this place is popular with locals and other insiders such as visitors from Brazil. We found our “Sopa legumes”, “Creme de Moriscos” and Baccalau interestingly different than anything we had earlier in Spain. Presentation was simple. Service was informal, but... More

Our first night in Lisbon we had a disappointing meal so we asked for a recommendation for a good restaurant at our hotel reception and they sent us here! Utterly disgusted by this place. Street cafe where you dine outside with lots of pigeons pecking at your feet but you are paying high end restaurant prices. we decided to stay... More

This was my first meal in Portugal. At first sight, it looked like a tourist trap, but I was hungry and the tables outside were inviting. Not a single regret. I had a perfect garoupa. Th e price was on the high side, but after all it was perfectly located in the middle of the very turistic-y area.

We actually had lunch and dinner here during our stay in Lisboa. Found the lunch service to be fair but the food excellent. We had the seafood curry over rice for two and it had to have had 30-40 shrimp in the bowl. Prices for the restaurant area were very reasonable and they did not try to "add the extras"... More

We had a great lunch at Pinoccio. Fresh shrimps with salt as starter. Pasta with seafood as main course. Excellent local portugiese wine recommended by our waiter. Very good service overall. Geniune Place. 😊😊

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighborhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
