Nice place with mediocre service. We all had pasta and it tasted good. Quit alright if you are in Lisbon centre and want some tasty pasta.

Went on a Sunday evening and apparently only just started to open Sunday's. The food was good but the place was empty. They put a nibbles tray for you to have or not very good to get a few extra euros out of you. It was ok however the balsamic in the oil was literally a drop and I had... More

We went on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was less than a third full. We has prawns to start, a tasty dish, large starter so we shared. I had spaghetti vongole and my husband had a sea food pasta dish. Neither were cooked enough. The garlic was very raw. My husband had to pick the lemon peel out of... More

Dear costumers, Im sorry for your coment., and your disappointment. We Wish You hard expressed your comment , when We asked if everything was ok. We understand that not everyone likes garlic and We Would have been more than happy to have made something else for You. The pasta as You well know, the Italian way, must be al dente.... More

An unassuming Italian restaurant in Lisbon. Good service, a cheap price and good food. What's not to like !? We had tHe lasagne (tasty, a healthy sized portion) and the seafood tagliatelle (lots of flavour - lots of chilli)

Found this restaurant whilst seeking out a different one. Doesn't look much from the ground floor but the upstairs main eating area is pleasant and offers tables with views of the street below. Food is excellent and cannot be faulted, you are spoilt for choice. Pasta was well cooked and full of flavour. Wine also very good. Two visits in... More

We visited this restaurant twice during our stay and the first visit was wonderful, the food and wine were excellent. We returned three days later and there was a power cut, this was not the fault of the restaurant but I felt that a single tea light was a bit mean and I would have thought a drink on the... More

We found Limoncello while walking around the neighborhood near our apartment. From the outside, situated right on a corner, it's nothing special. But once in the door it has eye appeal and is very inviting. The meal was very good. We had a Veal dish and a Spaghetti Pescatore, salads, ate up the usual olives and breads, as the crab... More

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighborhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
