This was my second trip to Lisbon. On my first trip, every bakery I tried had croissants that were heavy and "bready", not light and flaky as I am used to in Paris. On my second trip, I tried several others and came across Pastelaria...Batalha. There croissants are light and flaky. Their other pastries are lovely as well. I walked quite far every day to get my morning pastries here. The service was always lovely. They also make a wonderful cappuccino. My favorite breakfast place in Lisbon.More

My friends and I went to the pastelaria upon recommendation and were going to simply pick up a few pasteis de nata because we didn't know what anything else was. The owner, part of the family that runs the pastelaria, was present and immediately prevented...us from making that terrible mistake. She recommended purchasing a box. filled with 5 preselected pastries for only 5 euros. She was super kind and described all the pastries to us. Wish I had brought a box back with me because they were some of the most unique and deliciously made pastries I had eaten. Would highly recommend visiting for the cheap prices, variety of options, and the uniqueness; its a family owned shop passed down from generation to generation so some of the recipes we didn't see anywhere else in Portugal.More

Everyone in Lisbon eats Pastel Da Nata, but if you are dairy intolerant, it can be very difficult to find a good one. Look mo further than this cute bakery offering both vegan and non vegan traditional Portuguese pastries. Prices are very reasonable and the...location is fantastic!More

I passed this place and decided to pop in to grab a quick snack. I went with a vegan pie, which I had no major expectations (I’m not vegan) WOW!!! This was the best pie I’ve had, it was so tasty, flavoured and I wanted...10 more. I’m gutted I only went once but highly recommend this place!!!More

Great place to stop off and take a break and enjoy pastel de natas! Service was fantastic and super friendly on multiple visits. Take away is nicely boxed, and there’s space inside to escape and relax and eat and drink.

Pastelaria Batalha has 2 vegan options in their display - vegan "pastel de nata" (sweet) and a vegan pie (savoury) - both really good. You must try a warm "pastel de nata"! If you have VeganWay with you (Vegan guide of Lisbon) you get a...free vegan pie when buying 6 "pasteis de nata". And believe me, they're worth it!More

Very friendly and patient service, enough room for my small suitcase and a selection of typical Portuguese pastries. The pastel de feijao was pleasantly chewy with a good thin, crunchy pastry shell - yummy!

We were offered a special misto and smoothie (with apple, pear, banana, strawberry) for their Valentine's deal. Bread was hard. Smoothie made my wife nauseous. Try their other foods. Does have nice seating/restroom and wifi though. Server was really friendly.

Friendly service, excellent coffee and fresh squeezed juice plus really good pastel de natas. We really enjoyed our breakfast at the lovely cafe. Eggs, bacon and toast, plus juice, coffee and pastel de nata for a very reasonable price.
