Loved the pastel de nata from this place. It was well worth the 1 euro. The egg was warm and the crust was flaky. Also not too sweet like some other places in the same area.

Located in Lisbon’s Castelo district at Rua Milagre Santo António 10, Pastelaria Santo António is the most recent winner of Portugal’s “National Tasting of Pastel de Nata,” and for those willing to ascend the hills and wait in line at opening the reward is warm,...flaky, delicate and perceivably less sweet than the competition. Currently opening at 8:00am daily, with a small group gathering twenty minutes prior as the lone Baker works in an open kitchen, it is immediately on entry that the smell of baking Bread is evident – even though some items may not be fully ready until later. Made larger by upstairs seating, though locals seem to take their items to-go, it was after ordering that a young clerk said “here’s one more, you’re going to want it” as he placed another Tart on the tray already containing more than enough Carbs for one. Smart to begin and end with Santo António’s signature, the best Tart tasted across fifteen eateries in five days, those seeking something savory should certainly consider the Chicken Pie inside a golden Crust while the Port Wine Croissant is also pretty special, even though it lacks much honeycombing in the middle.More

The port infused croissants are delicious. A great little snack. Not many places to sit down inside. Easy take away item.

Never had an egg custard before, and unfortunately, I think this has set the bar unreasonably high. Just a great sweet snack to have with a coffee. I’d say the coffee is good, not great, but the location is phenomenal and I genuinely have thought...about that egg custard numerous times since I’ve been.More

I would highly recommend the "Pastel de Nata" from Pasteleria Santo Antonio. We were taking part in a tour in Lisbon when we stopped at this bakery. The tour guide suggested taste the pastel there. I would say that it was the most Yummy pastel...the nata that we had in Portugal, for me it is so far the best one.More

My boyfriend and I tasted a lot of Pastel de Nata on our vacation in Portugal. We discovered the place by taking a guided tour. These were the best for us. Fabulous taste, they were crunchy. Fully approved.

They won the championship of the best Pastel de Nata in Lisboa in 2019 and we think that is great! We did not know about them before getting lost in the streets after visiting the castle. We needed a little something to eat before continuing...the visit and found them! The pastries were very tasty and the coffee too!More

When you are on a good thing stick to it! And so we did! We returned to this Pastelaria several times, as we loved the pastries, particularly the Portuguese tarts! They must surely be the best anywhere! The pastry is lovely and crisp and the...custard is absolutely delicious!More

This pastel de nata is second only to the original (Pasteis de Belém). If you’re in the Alfama area in Lisbon stop by. Better yet, make your way there because this pastel de nata is that good. They also have delicious sandwiches on fresh baked...baguettes and rolls. Everything is amazing at this Pastelaria. I enjoyed Santo António more than Pasteis de Belém because of their location and the quality of all of their other products.More
