It's been a while since we went to LDS. It has always been one of our first choices in Lisbon, especially on family holidays.
This time, it left a lot to be desired.
We went to celebrate my brother's birthday, there were 9 of us. I left a deposit of 500 euros, which I thought was quite excessive. The table, bar and reception service remains impeccable, however, every time the staff disappears. I don't like the system where they serve water without the customer asking, they open the water bottles without asking the customer, then on the bill no one knows how many bottles of water they actually consumed. The food wasn't anything special, my pasta dish with seafood was cold and poor, almost without seafood and shrimp, regrettable, without flavor either. The absurd values. Thanks for the desserts and the entertainment, wonderful singer and a phenomenal couple of dancers.
But, we left there disappointed and with no desire to return anytime soon. Our bill was 610 euros.

The decor of the restaurant was pleasant, creating an inviting atmosphere. However, the live music played during our visit was louder than desired, making conversation challenging and detracting from the overall dining experience. As for the food, we ordered a grilled sole, expecting it to be presented whole as is typical of this dish. Unfortunately, the waiter surprised us when he brought the fish and immediately started cutting it into fillets, without any presentation. While the flavor was pleasant, it lacked the wow factor we've come to expect from a grilled fish dish. On a more positive note, the dessert we ordered, the Avelã Praliné, was delicious and was part of the featured meal. However, despite the delicious dessert, I wouldn't return to the restaurant just for that reason. Overall, I was hoping for a more memorable and satisfying dining experience.

Big disappointment!!!! Nicely presented dishes but congruous portion for foie gras terrine and when with crab salad , avocado puree was surrounded by some crab crumbs! As for the dish: garoupa assada sobre fregola do mar.....the plate was filled with small round pasta on which sat 2 small pieces of dry fish and 3 shrimp!!!! Awards do not correspond to the quality or quantity of the dishes!!!!! A real tourist trap and the pretty view is not enough to make you forget that the kitchen is not up to it.

A few people suggested SUD because there is a great view. And it is true, the terrace overlooking the river and the bridge is amazing.
During the dinner, some talented entertainers did the show and this was also very enjoyable. All of this, in a very nicely designed restaurant.
But…
Most of the tables are very close to each other and chairs are literally edge to edge. It doesn’t make you feel you are in a special place, but it is more the proximity you could get at Wagamama in London.
And the most disappointing part was the service. It took ages to the staff to take our order and the hostesses were walking around empty handed while we were still waiting for some basics such as bread and oil. We had to ask twice for our drinks, for some ketchup and for the bill.
We were very patient, but several staff members were clearly not qualified for the job and this impacted negatively the entire experience.
In summary, SUD benefits from a great view, but the poor service added to some overpriced food doesn’t make it memorable.

Great atmosphere, with a beautiful view, and reasonable service. The problem is that the amount charged for the quality and quantity of food is not justified. The starters are too expensive for the quantity they come in, and the oven-baked rice wasn't anything special. Service could be a little faster, but it is understandable that it takes longer due to the type of restaurant it is.
I do not recommend.

Place is beautiful with a very nice view and live music. Drinks were good and food was good but our overall experience still was poor. We were a big group, granted it’s not easy to take care of a lot of people, but so many things got messed up. The waiter couldn’t even come to our table to take our order so we had to stand up and watch him punch it in yet there were still mistakes! Some food never arrived and a lot of mistakes in the order, including bringing us the wrong dishes and still charging us for them! No compensation was offered which is a bit disappointing for such an establishment. Overall, I’m sure this place is good for a date night or a nice family dinner but it was not very accommodating for such a group, so I do not recommend.

Very disappointing tonight . Told to scan menus some items not available but not informed until we tried to order them Asked about entertainment but waitress didn’t know if anything was going on . I ordered a pasta dish as my main but it arrived cold with undercooked pasta I sent it back and the same dish came back out only colder this time as it had been in and out of the kitchen by now .Decided no one in the kitchen knew what they are doing so didn’t eat a main course . On the positive side singer was excellent.

A great venue but TERRIBLE service and pricey food, and indifferent/rude staff. Only 4 out of our five drinks arrived and we asked for the missing drink repeatedly that took ages, and then one didn’t arrive at all. A second bottle of wine never came and the food was fine, but €54 for a risotto with one prawn on it?? Seriously? Don’t waste your time and money here.

The restaurant is in a beautiful location but with a view little ⁇ by its interior decor. The food is very weak in terms of taste and does not remember at all a food prepared by a chef. When we weigh the amounts charged there the restaurant completely loses its meaning because we ate much better in places with prices that were less than half of those charged by the SUD. We were at 6, some of the dishes had a size that was sufficient individually and others that demanded an entrance, but this is not on the menu and was not even indicated by the waiters. The wine chart starts with labels starting from EUR 48.00, but despite the price also does not surprise. The restaurant is a vacationer hunt.

They refused to cook soup from kids menu as I had no kids with me lol. Why is it a problem to give a grown up a soup which he likes? Also the entrance girls do not know the menu and it took them 10 minutes to know if they have any soups in the menu.

Amazing experience for our honeymoon! They had a handwritten note welcoming us & celebrating our honeymoon. Daniela made sure our experience was memorable from start to finish. Every plate of food had stunning presentation and it somehow tasted even better than it looked. The sommelier helped us pick out a delicious local red wine to pair with our beef entrees. They ended the dinner by moving us to relaxing outdoor seating where we enjoyed dinner and a glass of sparkling wine. A night we will never forget - cannot recommend enough!

How do previous reviews come to rate this place so highly? We were totally confused. The service in particular is slow, inattentive, disconnected and lacking organisation. The restaurant interior and top floor bar are stylish & elegant but the service and food are totally lacking. This place is style over substance in a big way!
You sit for a long time before being offered menus or guided to the QR code on the table. The starters of beef carpaccio and tuna tartare were so small, ridiculous for the price. The main courses of lamb for 3 & a steak for 1 were very average. No beautiful plates of food, wonderfully presented, instead you have small portions and average meat quality. We asked for a side of salad with the steak but this didn’t arrive until about 75% of the tasteless meat was eaten, just like the drinks service, totally disorganised. The staff were inattentive and all young and lacking the gravitas an establishment charging these prices needs, is that the problem with the restaurant organisation too?
We rated it 2/10. Long time since we’ve had a service so poor. At €360 for 4 with 3 bottles of wine, it is not good value!

We ate dinner during sunset (although the sun set around the corner) it still cast a beautiful sky over the bridge. The food was spectacular - and offered gluten and dairy free options - well worth the cost. The ambience and service matched the prices - I would highly recommend.

We went to this place for a company party with 300-odd people. First they welcomed us with plenty of drinks while we admired the night sea and then let us sit in the room. Despite the large number of guests we had an excellent sit-down dinner (it felt like being at a wedding). Special and excellently prepared dishes. Little dance show between one course and another. Impeccable service despite the amount of people. Once dinner was finished, the DJ set started and the alcohol continued to flow freely. The wines were a little subdued but overall a beautiful evening.

We stopped in for an evening cocktail on the rooftop and we were greeted with lovely views, but that’s where the positives end. The drinks were 2-3 times the price of anywhere else in Lisbon, and certainly were not worth it. The drinks themselves were incredibly underwhelming and were served in plastic glasses, which for an establishment with this decor and prices seemed ridiculous. We were also served a small handful of nuts to snack on with our drinks which were old and stale. The service was terrible as well. I’d recommend avoiding this place at all costs.
