We loved this restaurant! We spent two nights at the Lisboa Pessoa (hotel where the restaurant is) and ate here both nights. This place has such a fun vibe! The tables inside also have great views if it's cold, But the 2 terraces are fabulous! We could have stayed forever! Great place for a snack and a cocktail or dinner. Super friendly staff - our favorite Daniel...was fun and we had lots of great Portugal chats.More

We stayed at The Lisbo Pessoa and visited Mensagem for cocktails every evening. The staff, especially Daniel, provided some of the best service we had in Portugal. The food was tasty, and views fabulous, but the service is what pulled us back in.

Limited by choices with many places closed down to Covid-19, we chose this place. Upon arrival it seemed v cool. However, despite the individual booths with windows over the city, we were disappointed. My soup was barely more than a few spoonfuls. Mains ok but...nothing special. Mostly disappointed with the service. They didn’t clear the plates from our bread and olive oil until after the main course and never came to top up our water. We twice were given the french version of the menus. While not the end of the world, it’s those little things that make the difference. Breakfast is really good - food and service, the young waiter in the morning is very sympathic and friendly. However, dinner was kind of deceiving. They're trying to serve very fancy dishes, they're beautifully decorated but the quality isn't excellent and the price a little...high for what it is. Nice and calm restaurant with a good view- unfortunately we did not enjoy that to the fullest since the terrasse was closed. We found this restaurant in the fork, which gave us 30% of the tab (excluding beverages) and the meal was very nice. I...recommend the duck with mushroom risotto that was perfect, as well as the crème brûlée with passion fruit. Good wine as well, and the service was both attentive and charming. This is the rooftop bar and restaurant at the Hotel Pessoa. Beautiful views!. The hotel breakfast is served here. A diverse and delicious brunch is served from 7:30 to around 10 (?). Eggs are cooked to order upon request. Coffee is served but espresso and...cappuccinos are available. The staff is very friendly. Paulo is in charge of breakfast and is exceptional. Sitting outside or in for breakfast, snacks dinner or drinks is a very pleasant experience. It is a full service restaurant at night. The kitchen and chefs can be seen at the pass through. The kitchen between and during service is immaculate. We usually grabbed our last drink(s) of the night watching the starts and moon. Bruno, diogo, Ricardo and Paulo took excellent care of us. Drinks are made with care and precision so if you are from the US take a breath, relax and enjoy the view. Very highly recommended SlainteMore
The restaurant has a very nice location and beautiful view, but the service is really bad. The water has never arrived, the starters were served only to one of our party, the dishes for kids were confused and the cold soup was served... very disappointing...and discouraging approach.More
We stayed in the hotel, so we had breakfast and some drinks on the evening of arrival. Nice interior and two terraces with a great view over the city. prices are international level
