In between all the tourist traps on this street, go up some stairs to this beautiful old Moorish building. You can eat in style while admiring the tiles on the walls. I had migas with pork ribs - a typical alentejos dish. Delicious.

Half of party loved the food but half found food over salted and lacking flavour. The venue is interesting with wall tiles old fireplaces, high ceilings but a bit booming with sound. The waiters seemed offhand and only smiled when a tip appeared. Two of...More

Look for the building with the crown on the exterior....through the doorway and go up the stairs.... and then some more....(not to easy!). However, we were advised it was worth the effort, and it was! Go early because despite being hidden away, the place was...More

The pricing is intermediate, service is very friendly and food more than decent with huge quantities. The atmospheric restaurant room is with azulejos makes this place so special that I went twice over 3 days.
