Lovely setting. Food great. Service a little patchy. Wrong main course was delivered and there was a sense that we'd got it wrong not them. Might consider improving air con. Despite these hiccups would definitely return.

Although we are Portuguese couple, we are now expats living in Macau and we were spending a week in Lisbon with our family and we had just one night to go out for dinner in town. After a research on the internet we choose this restaurant because of the view it had over the city and the river. On the... More

I tried to book a table for July 29th in June. I was told no bookings were taken that far in advance. I emailed in July to be told that night was full with a block booking. One they only took that month? I doubt it. Appalling lack of customer care and forward thinking......

38 of us had dinner here as part of our Scenic tours tour of Portugal. Although our main courses were pre ordered and restricted to choices of fish and duck, the 3 course meal was very nice, with lovely white and red wines to complement each course. The staff were very attentive and did an excellent job in looking after... More

We ate dinner here. The surroundings are lovely. Our table faced out towards the most amazing view over the city. We asked for the doors to be opened which made it cooler as AC didn't seem to work effectively. During dinner the lights lit up the city. Entree, amuse Bouche and starters all fab. Hubby's rack of lamb tender but... More

Normally I'm very picky about places but Tagide had absolutely no faults at all. Went for a birthday meal and everything was excellent. Had the tasting menu which was well worth the price as was the wine recommendations. Service was fantastic with a good knowledge of both the food and the wine. Waitress was friendly and even helped us with... More

The view is beautiful and the ambience is great. The staff are very polite, friendly, and helpful. Bruno was great with helping us with the wine list. Ask him to make a recommendation if you would like to try some really great port wine. The food was mediocre, which was quite disappointing. Choose another restaurant if you are vegetarian, the... Lots of flavour and well cooked, we had duck with risotto and the meat was excellent , falling off the bone and full of flavour. The wines were strong with a good body especially the Drouro White . Good food , really enjoyed it and recommend .

We went here because of the mention in the Michelin guide and the nice view. The view from the restaurant is indeed very nice, but the food is bad and the wine is even worse. We had the tasting menu at 48€ plus 4 glasses of wine for 21€. It's not worth the money even though it is not a... More

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighborhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
