Booked a Friday evening in December, turned out the restaurant was very quiet. But the food and the service were absolutely outstanding. The restaurant has stunning views over the city and we were fortunate to dine on a clear night when the city was beautifully lit up. Great location. The food was excellent, main course fish (snapper) was outstanding, fresh... More

We have visited several nice restaurants in Lisbon and we think that the experience at this restaurant was exceptional. The restaurant and views are beautiful, the service was very attentive (we loved our server, Ana) and the food was great. I recommend for a special dinner.

My husband and I chose the Tagide Wine and Tapas Bar rather than the restaurant for our anniversary in Lisbon as a resultant of a prior recommendation. As you enter there is a bar area and we were seated close by the bar. We ordered a nice bottle of wine, three tapas and a main. After two of our tapas... More

Dear em_davis24, We would like to start by thanking you for choosing our restaurant. We are glad you enjoyed your meal, however, we must apologize for the fact that you weren't fully satisfied. In our restaurant we have smoke extractors to make sure that the customers won't feel the smoke. Probably there was some kind of problem with those extractors... More

Very groovy setting and lovely views over the city. We went to the wine and tapas section downstairs rather than the upstairs restaurant. We got there a bit late in the day, and were put under pressure from the waiter to order within 2 minutes as the kitchen was closing. Not sure why they let us in if they didnt... More

I have been there for the new year's eve dinner and I had an amazing experience. The service was great, the view over Lisbon was stunning but the best part of the night was certainly the food. I will definitely come back!

Our first impression was very mixed - the views were stunning but the heating was turned up so high in our small alcove that I felt quite ill . The staff said they would turn the heating off but didn't until I opened the window, whereupon the manager came up and asked pretty abruptly that I close it because he... More

This was disaster new year evening dinner. The tapas on the menu of the new year evening menu were so tasteless, poor, uninteresting and bad presented that we decided to leave before the end of the meal. Also to add the ridiculous cheap wine choice and the incomprehensible strict little amount of wine served per person. In top of everything... More

Dear client, We would like to start by thanking you for choosing our restaurant and apologise for the fact that you weren't fully satisfied. We would also like to state that the reservation was properly handled and we were only informed of the extra person on the day of the dinner. Regarding the wine, the menu was composed of Vinho... Together with my wife and our son, we went to Restaurante Tágide. The food was tasteful and the view was excellent. The restaurant is nice and proper. We rejected olives, olive oil and bread, which usually are charged, but accepted amuse-bouche, which usually is complimentary in elegant restaurants. We were surprised to find out that we were charged for couvert.... More

We enjoyed our lunch, great food and service. It was a sunny day, so we could benefit from the great view of Lisbon. Would recommend to all.

Staying in Chiado & Carmo

Neighborhood Profile
Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.
