We ate here twice on our holiday recently. There was a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was excellent, they do a lovely dish of baby squids in batter. We also had a great tuna dish and beef carpaccio.

Lovely lunch with Patricia and her team at Valerio, overlooking the marina at Cascais. A great seafood menu (especially the tiger prawns!) and indulgent deserts. Great atmosphere with lots of friendly locals - always a good sign in a tourist town!

Great lunch. Had a steak which was cooked excellently, with chips on the side and a beer. Wonderful food and polite service

We love the marina area and walk there almost everyday. There are many restaurants but this was our first visit to Valerio. We had the shrimp scampi style with garlic and butter, and the sole fillets Meunier style. Both were served with rice. Both very...good. We will return for the fried clams and clam pasta dishes and who knows what else! One thing to be aware of - they only accept cash.More

We found this restaurant when walking from Cascais railway station, along the lovely seafront to Boca D'Inferno. It is at a very convenient halfway point in the Marina with a very nice view of the lighthouse. The service was very friendly and we had 2...beautifully cooked gratin dishes. The cold beer was excellent too! We will eat there again on our return next year.More

What was outstanding was the service in this restaurant. Our server was attentive, willing to make adjustments to the orders and offered a good wine selection. we noticed she was as friendly with all the guests. The food was somewhat uneven. My partner had the...duck confit. It had to be the best we have ever tasted. The sear and cook were wonderful. A strange pairing with French fries however. I had the clam pasta. It was somewhat dry and had too much garlic. Next time duck for me. Must add that this is a dog friendly placeMore

We ate two meals here, and were pleased each time. The calamari was fresh and tender. The roasted vegetable side dish was easily big enough for 2-3 people. The restaurant is small. We ate an early dinner on a Saturday and had it to ourselves....We went back Sunday for a late lunch and had to wait 20 minutes for a table. It was worth the wait. The prices can't be beat, either. It's on the lighthouse side of the marina building, half way down.More

We enjoyed excellent seafood pasta in this nice restaurant with beautiful sea-view from their cozy terrace. Service in this restaurant was very friendly and attentive. We came so early in the evening that kitchen was not yet open, so we had to wait a few...minutes before making the order. But that was no problem, we got however two glasses of very good white wine for our waiting time. Price level in this restaurant is very affordable taking into account excellent food quality. Restaurant is also very popular compared to other restaurants nearby, which had hardly any customers during our dinner time. We can warmly recommend Valerio!More

It’s a charming traditional Portuguese restaurant with delicious tapa choices. The food is so tasty yet reasonably priced. Much better than the fusion touristy places nearby. Mostly locals eat here which indicates quality.
