This is such a relaxt place in the hotel. You have a look into the kitchen where the cooks work concentrated. Music is nice, not to loud. Great atmosphere. Beautiful paintings, huge.

The dining space is located in a vast open ground floor level, broken up by dividers and art installations. As such one side is open to the vast busy corridor between reception, the lifts and the outdoor pool bar and pool. On some tables it's like sitting in a busy station concourse !! As it's also a popular, but small,... More

Not the cheapest place to drink but try the house wine. It is excellent. It comes from the owners vineyard.

Ipsylon is the perfect combination of finesse, simpleness, with the bonus of a beautiful landscape. I very much indeed appreciate, their salads, and diversity of bread, and I must say that I've already tried them all, and loved every single bit. For me, this is my escape and special celebrations go to.

Smart and modern, intelligent and flexible subdivision of wide open space into cubicles and areas. Food and drinks of largely intl. selection at high end prices. Service is great! Staff is really friendly!

The Epsylon restaurant is not at all at the level of the hotel. Taste was average but much more problematic was the quantity of food with was more than minimalist. The best example (or I should say the worst) is the selection of cheese which is presented for 2 persons but is not only made of 6 tiny piece of... More

when spending a great week at the stylish Oitavos hotel and golf course we had dinner twice in the hotel's only dinner-restaurant, in the hotel-lobby. The atmosphere could be better than this hotel-lobby, but the food was rather good, the staff attentive, winelist could be better

good food, but very expensive and too long to get served, despite the fact the hotel was not crowded.

The Ipsylon Restaurant uses the finest ingredients in the most harmonious and tasty combinations. I didn't think chocolate Swiss roll could be so good. The beef tenderloin with fried egg melted in the mouth. The bio-organic tomatoes with tarragon and melon sorbet were absolutely scrumptious. The chef's menu, which changes every night, and just one person in a party can... More

If you go to Cascais I highly recommend the chef's table at the Oitavos hotel (Ipsylon restaurant). You can only reserve for Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and it's for a group of 2 to 6 people as the table is in the kitchen where all the cooks and the action is. We were greeted and entertained the whole night by... More
