Quality of meal was average and some what overrated as most of cooking is done by Nepali cooks and similar flavours and cooking sauces are used in multiple dishes during assembly of ingredients to churn out dishes. Attitude of the person taking orders and trying...to push the watery drinks to add before she take meal orders. This was not an experience worth repeating.More

I went to the counter to order. I was asked by one of the waitresses if we were going to order food, I said no, we wanted to have cakes, coffee and juice. They had 3 or 4 different types of cakes on display and...a variety of fruit juices and coffees. She replied that they are not able to sit us down, unless we order food as well, as it is lunch hour and they are very busy. It was 2:20pm. I had no choice but to change my order to take away, although what we really wanted was to sit down. I ordered 2 coffees, a slice of cake and one of their natural juices. On my way out, I noticed that there were plenty of available tables. They also have a rooftop terrace with seating and that was empty at the time. I approached the waitress and asked her what the reason was as to why we were refused a table. She was not able to give me an answer and became slightly argumentative. When I referred to the venue as a “coffee shop”, she corrected me twice, by saying: “It’s not a coffee shop, it’s a restaurant!”. I asked to speak to a manager. Her reply was that they don’t have a manager. I then asked to speak to the owner. She told me the owner is inside, but refused to take me to her. After asking one more staff member, I managed to locate the lady who presented herself as the owner. My intention was to find out why we were refused a table, given that there were tables available. They seem to have a practice to force customers to order food, in order to be able to sit down at one of their tables. I looked at their one star online reviews and it looks like this is something they are doing on a regular basis. My guess is that this sort of practice is infringing on customer rights and is illegal. Furthermore, I found the owner to be condescending and rude, lacking the most basic sense of respect and courtesy towards me. When I approached her, she said with a grin: “So, what’s the matter sweetheart? You’re upset because you couldn’t have your cake?”. I am an adult who doesn’t like to be ridiculed or infantilized in any circumstance, let alone when I am paying for a service. She had no interest in what I had to say, she kept interrupting me and talking over me, raising her voice. When I told her that I am going to write up a formal complaint, she asked derisively: “So, who are you going to complain with?”. Let aside the level of rudeness and inconsideration towards customers, the owner of this restaurant is engaging, in my opinion, in an abusive and coercive practice, which needs to be addressed and stopped. To answer the owner’s last question to me, I did write a complaint today through the Deco Proteste website, the largest consumer organization in Portugal, which I will follow up with.More

The attitude of the staff was just terrible! So this lady (I suppose the owner) was so rude and all the waiters seem terrified by her. She was extremely fake, trying to convince us to eat the food at 16.00 at all cost. We were...in 7 and she raised her tone repeating several times that just after we take something we may take a sit , while the place was completely empty. At the end of the day, couple of girls took coffees and it was disgusting. Honestly, don’t know how is the food, but I suppose it’s as nauseous as people, who run this placeMore

While the place is good overall, I experienced poor service (they got the dish wrong) and poor description as the dish which arrived looking completely different to what was presented. I’ve never had. Shakshuka with zucchini and broccoli in. When I was asked by the...owner if I liked it, to which I explained I didn’t and have never had a Shakshuka made like that, instead of showing some contrition, which I would have accepted, she said plenty of people like the food. Which is the same as saying the problem is with you….More

As the title says I really wanted to love this place. It had such potential…maybe it was the time of day we went … around 6pm? The food choices themselves was not the problem, it just was all sort of not fresh tasting or looking...and really lacking in flavour on each and every piece of what was on the plates. My husband had the shakshuka and he has also had it at a restaurant in Canada where we are from and said hands down it was 5 times more delicious in Canada. My plate was a variety of different types of vegetables in little piles and I found each could have been something interesting but sadly no.More

We visited here back in 2019 and I found myself today thinking about the meal we had and how amazing it was. Definitely recommend! Always a good sign to remember a great meal years later.

Lovely seating areas either at the front of the cafe, or on the roof terrace. You order from the inside, picking your plate(s) and drinks 'with your eyes' (is what it says on the sign). And the plates look amazing. Beautifully presented with love and...care. We ordered two large plates at 12 EUR each and this satisfied 4 of us as a light lunch. Consisted of veggie sushi rolls, omelet, and other vegan/veggie/salad creations that were all very good. The fresh juices were also great, and made a change from the usual fridge-full of canned soft drinks. Special mention for the Sangria, which was the best we had whilst in Portugal. Recommended for something a little different when wandering the streets of Cascais.More

Spectacular red and white sangria (the best we have ever had!!)! They offer a "visual menu", which is amazing AND with gluten free options. While we were in Cascais, we went 3 times.....I will miss this place. Lots of outdoor seating and the waitstaff were...amazing and so helpful. They did a special gluten free platter for me.More

5. This is the most amazing vegetarian food I’ve ever had. I’ve been back twice when visiting Portugal. The selection and quality of produce is exceptional.

I liked this place in the past so I went again there for lunch with my family. I was absolutely disappointed by the staff member at the counter, who I believe is the owner, and their lack of peoples' skills. Not only that I was...ignored, instead of them speaking to the customer behind me in line as if I were invisible, but then continued on a tone that made me wonder 'why am I being speaking down to' when choosing my food. I speak English daily, you don't need to slow down your words... You also don't need to make fun of me by saying "oh, I didn't realize you are a regular". I am not, I just said that I've eaten there before. No need for you to make assumptions and use that tone. The food was overpriced...I will never ever recommend anyone to go there again. A total disappointment! Next time, either treat your clients nicely or let your staff interact with the clients if one is not in a good mood...Just because you take one look at me and totally disconsider me, doesn't give you the right to treat me the way you did. I still wonder what I did to rub this person the wrong way and receive this treatment from them. I almost wanted to tell them to 'chill' as this is known as a relaxed place, and their attitude was nothing like that.More
