From the road, we had the impression that it was closed, and on arriving by the seaside, idem: a big barrier blocks access and no arrow returning us to what is now the entrance.... Perhaps this is why there were so few people in this idyllic place, while the other restaurants in the area were much busier. But maybe it was also the applied rates: we got away with 40€ per person, without having gone overboard.
In short, we were spoiled for choice to have a table in the January sun with stunning views.
On the food side, it was good but not extraordinary and the portions were reasonable. Very nice wine list.
Relatively fast service and as we were well in the sun, it was going very well.

The reason this place did not get a 5 star rating is that it is simply too pricy for what it is. While I can afford to pay 3.80 for a small beer, it is just out of step with everywhere else in Cascais. Since the beer was overpriced we had a nice bottle of wine which was much better value (though unspectacular). Feeling snarky, we ordered a plate of sweet potato chips, expecting some nice freshly cut and fried chips. What arrived was a plate of chips out of a bag for the princely sum of 10 Euro! What a joke!

The atmosphere is very cool, well decorated, with good music.
The service is good, but quite slow, and they forgot the coffee.
The food is good, but the prices charged are exaggerated, and are not justified by the quality, much less the quantity.
The Shrimp Curry was good, and well presented, but in small quantities.
It's a restaurant that gives off a good vibe, organic and organic image 🌱 but, unfortunately, its main customers are tourists, and ends up being frequented essentially by a minority with greater purchasing power.
There are establishments that are worth the money spent, but this is not the case.

It’s a gorgeous cliff top bike ride to this area and restaurant from the center of Cascais. The restaurant is set at the end of an interesting development of independent shops and restaurants on the cliff top with spectacular views.
It is a beautiful spot. The food was okay. It holds great promise but doesn’t quite deliver. We had a good evening. I would imagine after sunset it would be even more atmospheric. We got the train from Lisbon, an easy 30 minute journey costing less than a fiver. We got an Uber back for €16.

We waited one hour and thirty minutes for the shrimp curry and the T-bone steak, we were shocked with such small portions for such expensive dishes.
The waiter very friendly and professional but overall a terrible impression! Lack of taste and flavor! Overrated..Never again

I called 1h in advance asking to book a table; the answer was: “we have plenty of tables, just show up!”. When we arrived the girl at the door told us in a very condecending tone, that there was only one table available, on an inclined plane!! We decided to sit down. But then we started looking around and noticing that more than half the tables were free and asked to move to a more confortable location. The girl deined our request stating those were the orders she had. We even told her that we had called and that there were loads of free tables but to no avail. At that point we left, even before ordering…
This is a very well located restaurant managed by some very arrogant people; I will never know how good the food is and would never recommend this place

Wonderful cliffside spot for dinner and drinks at sunset! In amongst the trees just down the path from the main Casa da guia plaza, this place has tasty food, great service and ambience. We even saw the local dolphin pod swimming by from our table!

Was here a year ago and loved it; a second visit did not disappoint. Absolutely unique ambience - great spot to wile away an afternoon. Food is terrific - I had a steak and cheese sandwich with fries this time, perfectly prepared and served piping hot. Nice music too.

This place is the true example of a good idea gone awol.
A large outdoor space under pine trees and next to the sea, heavenly prone to strong winds that will make you eat a lot of dust, even before one has had any real food.
Service is chaotic and mostly non existent.
Waiters running back and forth with no purpose or organization.
In a group of 8 the food took a total of 1 and half hour to arrive, plate by plate.
Things never got delivered even though we kept asking for them.
Music is just too loud and the DJ keeps changing the tunes before they finish.
Food was the best part.
The experience was awful.

I’m thrilled to share my experience at Palaphita Cascais.
The experience has been a truly remarkable one! The level of service we experienced at the restaurant was simply splendid!
At the restaurant, we were taken special care of by their head chef who ensured that my 4 year old had every meal of her choice and also catered to the palates of my wife and me alike. They were extremely warm and kind, provided exemplary service and catered to our every need. The food variety at the restaurant is simply marvellous. The best I have ever eaten.
The property is very well kept. It provides a beautiful sun set view, which is a delight to watch.
We would like to thank each one of you for making our evening an absolute delightful and memorable one!
Good Luck to the entire property staff and we wish to see you all soon!

Some staff was rude and had an attitude (although some were really nice). Long waits in between orders, some of them were even forgotten. Paid 4 euros for an Americano, which is basically a shot of coffee with more water (the normal coffee was 2 euros, so it is ridiculous that they asked for twice as much for a bit more water). The staff was told not to give customers glasses for the drinks unless they asked for them, so twice the beer came just as a bottle.

Too bad and expensive woodpecker!!!! Lots of vinegar, poor quality meat!!! Very bad. You can only come and have drinks, I've had bad food experiences here, but this was the height of it. Furthermore, having lunch with a screaming girl giving a samba class in a place where you want to relax, which is what this place calls for......don't remind anyone.
Next time I definitely won't come to eat

Palaphita Cascais is a beautiful place! Whether in the location, where the geography of a seaside cliff is stunning, or in the decoration of an open-air location. It has air-conditioned tents and domes for the winter and wooden tables and chairs, remembering that we are in the Serra do Mar. The service is the biggest attraction. I was attended by Graça and Theo. Helpful professionals who perform their work with mastery. The house white wine is from the Palaphita brand itself and has a spectacular bottle. My experience is always sensational there. Thanks. My birthday was perfect!

I went here for lunch on my own. The weather was great and I got a table directly at the wall with view over the ocean. I ordered the pork sandwich, a water, cappuccino with oat milk and the tapioca dessert.
I really enjoyed the food. Both dishes tasted great, especially the dessert. The coffee was good, but overpriced.
The music was nice. My only really negative point is the toilet situation. I went to the public toilets at Casa de Guia instead.

Terrible, terrible Food! The Description in the menu was worlds away from what they serve. It was not possível to define the Taste of it. The only positive Part was the wine… the first waiter was nice and attentive, later the two other really unfriendly and unprofessional. Also the place was full of flies. And in the end it was also expensive. Never again and too many better alternatives!
