This bar/restaurant seems perpetually busy and I would think booking is essential. We booked the last evening table at around 16.00 that day. We enjoyed a great range of tapas style food and a couple of drinks. The bill came to only €38.50 which was...amazing value. The staff were working incredibly hard but still found time to chat and make you feel welcomed. All spoke English and at least one spoke German. There were English menus too. It was a really fun evening.More

The atmosphere of this restaurant is so authentic and quite bohemian. The food is presented in an uncommon way, however it is very tasty. The stuff is very polite and they invite the guests for limoncello at the end. A very interesting option for Cascais.

Small restaurant in the middle of historical Cascais. Great food and big plates. You will not go hungry. Lots of choices between meat and fish and seafood. All fresh and succulent. Friendly and english speaking staff.

We visit Cascais every September and always make sure we visit here , twice in fact in our 6 day visit. We always receive a very warm welcome and order our favourite Trio and olives then the Pleasure platter , we also tried a bruschetta...with Italian spicy sausage , as usual the quality of the food was excellent and we were well served by friendly staff who certainly enhance the experience. We really enjoy our trips to Taberna Clandestina and will no doubt return next year.More

If you are in Cascais you need to go to Taberna Clandestina, the best food in town!!!! It’s very hard to please me when it comes to food but their menu is absolutely INSANE!! Since we discovered this place we came to eat every day,...we tried fish platter, ravioli with truffle, Portuguese bruschetta (the best!!), diavola bruschetta, trio aperitif (the one with truffle butter, best butter I have ever had). The staff is very friendly also, absolutely recommend with all my heart!!! I wish you have one restaurant like this in every city!More

Having read the reviews and having had to book as it is so popular we were looking forward to eating here. We chose the premium sharing platter and a few sides as recommended. I love tapas and I love portuguese food unfortunately the food was...just bland and unispired. I don't enjoy giving poor reviews but thought I might save a few people a visit. The waiters were however very attentive and friendly. Sorry guys.More

Had the Pleasure Sharing Platter between two of us. Basically an Italian style Antipasti Platter of cheeses and meats but using Portuguese ingredients. Extremely high quality and the cheeses were excellent. For desert had a marscapone ice cream with homemade strawberry ice cream and chocolate...chunks. Sounds simple but it was sublime. Their homemade tiramisu was also very good. Tables mainly outdoors on pedestrian walkway. Vibrant but relaxed atmosphere. Staff explained dishes very well. Great value as well.More
