A friend recommended that I go to Santini's when I was visiting Cascais and I'm glad I did. It was some of the best ice cream I've had. You have to try the fruit flavours, as they only use real fruit that is in season....I had the raspberry and coconut and they were both delicious. I would highly recommend going here. The ice cream was awesome! Tried the passion fruit and chocolate - very refreshing and tasty. And also tried the mocha - very good. Something about eating ice cream in the cold; makes it extra tasty!
Visited this place because of all the tips on the internet about ‘the best icecream’ from Portugal. To be honest I’ve got better icecream during my time in this country. I guess this shop is a little overhyped. The icecream was nice but not that...nice.More
We had the pleasure of trying the ice cream here and it was just incredible. Honeydew Melon is my new favourite flavour! It tasted like the sweetest, ripest melon I’ve ever tasted! We also tried the orange & Passion Fruit - both delicious 😋
Great strong flavors. There is always A-line outside the place. It's a tiny little shop where You can read the flavors in 5 different languages. Go in pay and be prepared for the most authentic flavors ever. We tries orange 🍊 ,passion fruit vanilla and...honeydew. Each tasted like a bite of perfectly ripe fruit.More
The queuing for the ice cream is worth it, 100%! Had the watermelon, peach & cherry flavours, which were amazing … they were so flavour & tasted so creamy. Would recommend.
Santini is a must when visiting Cascais for gelato. Every time we visit Portugal we make an effort to visit Santini at least once. Excellent gelato!
Great ice cream shop. One of the famous ones in town. Right on the main strip. Small seating area. €3.50/small cup but the serving is large! Didn’t see any kiddie sizes which would reduce wastage as kids can’t finish the small size of ice cream...typically. Generous serving. Delicious flavorsMore
There is so much of Lisbon, Cascais, and Sintra to visit that we had to stop and "smell the roses." This stop was perfect. Jorge, our guide, told us not to jump at the first gelato parlor we see, but we must wait for this...one. He was right!More
We had been on a tour [it was a hot day] and our guide recommended our stopping here for a quick treat. The place was packed and there was a long line which moved quickly. . You enter, pay, and then take your slip to...the person at the counter to prepare your ice cream-cone vs. cup. We were able to get two flavors-I got the mocha and blueberry. It is a nice atmosphere and there is seating if you want to eat in the place itself. If you are in Cascais, it is well worth the stop.More
Indeed a nice treat on a sunny day, even if it's not the cheapest ice I have seen. But it's tasty and you can see people waiting for it outside along the sidewalk. The organisation inside is flawless :-) you pay in advance and then...you can choose and pick your flavours quietly. This makes really sense !More
I know people of Cascais love it and its pretty good. I won't comment on value. I've been numerous times and it has been consistently good.
Loved this place. The ice-cream is very good and they took extra care preparing ice cream for someone who has celiac disease. Excellent service. Decor is very laid back and creates a relaxing atmosphere.
Given the reviews, one wonders if anyone has ever eaten good ice cream. The cream flavors were watery and tasted little, the prices extremely high (4,6€ for the medium cup), even comparing them to artisanal ice cream parlors in the center of Milan.
Fantastic quality, choice and value... amazing and unusual flavours. I was particularly impressed that when I told them about my sons peanut allergy they opened brand new containers to ensure no cross contamination... very very professional. Thank you.
