Small but nice restaurant, the girl who caters very Pro and attentive. The well presented and very delicious food, we ate a cod carpacio that was excellent, a pork loin and a salad of octopus, dessert and coffee. The drawback for some is that it does not support credit cards and you have to pay the county.

Delicious food (grilled lamb chops and delicious pork) in a very cozy restaurant! Many Portuguese guests. Highly recommended! A place you will never forget, especially the very nice and cheerful hostess!

A super experience

A lovely place where we were made to feel so welcome with her attentive service. Dulce speaks various languages and her English is excellent. We had a wonderful lunch there with an impromptu birthday dessert. We loved it so much we went back again a couple of days later. The food was all beautifully cooked and presented. If you are visiting Batalha, you must eat here. Thank you, Dulce!

Overall is an ok restaurant, well located. We had Picanha which was tasty, however the Salmon was undercooked. For the sides, we had nice chips but don’t recommend the rice. Overpriced restaurant for drinks and bread(check their menu).

Super friendly and attentive service? Check! Fresh, flavorful, well seasoned food? Check! Clean, comfortable dining room? Check! Is it a three star Michelin restaurant? The service was so friendly, so accommodating that this alone would bring me back - on this note yes three stars. The food was simple, honest, homemade, typical Portuguese food elevated enough to merit my attention - on this note it's not a French Laundry, Per Se, or Masa but it's also not trying to be that. Does it deserve a three star - not in the context of the aforementioned celebrated destinations but amongst the sea of mediocrity that is the typical Portuguese restaurant here you find a gem - amongst these it rises above and deserves a family style three stars. Don't expect anything novel but everything we tried was just right. From main courses to dessert it was such a nice surprise. Next time I drive to Lisbon I will make a point of stopping in again for a serving of the waitresses smile and congeniality and a good meal served at a fair if not modest price.

Such kind people and out of the ordinary food

It is rare that I go to a restaurant in a town I have never visited with no clients. However I had a good feeling looking at the menu, we were not disappointed. Staff are welcoming and friendly, relatively wide choice and good daily special dishes. Good choice for children and excellent portions. The dishes we tasted were all well presented and of good quality.The two ladies who wait at the tables make the difference, helpful and efficient, they also speak excellent English. The dining room is cosy but sparse and the proximity to the Monastery and simple parking make it an excellent choice. Being English I was especially taken by jelly on the dessert menu....worth a 100Km detour !!!

Food was good. We had 3 salads and 4 dishes but I didn’t expect a bill around 100€. It’s by far the most expensive meal I did and it was really not worth the price.

This restaurant might look very very simple - but do not mistake: even though its furniture is simple, its food is among the BEST we had in Portugal! The service was amazing - the waitress spoke very good English and French, and she even drew a sketch for us when trying to explain a fish to us whose name we did not know. She was wonderful! I had a very tasty vegetarian dish with polenta, and a wonderful desert. Everything is is homemade - everything! Even the coconut flakes on my desert :-)

fast and tasty!

based on the reviews here, we decided to come for fast lunch and we were not dissapointed! very nice waitress, fast service and tasty food. we had nice vegetable soup and typical portuguese bacalhau a bras. it was very well flavoured! good price. However the place would deserve better decoration to call more attention and maybe better choice of soups as its called Sopas😉
