I was on a private tour and the guide recommended this restaurant. They served a nice chicken dinner in small village near Batahlha. For me, they served too many French fries but other than that, I enjoyed the meal. There is both indoor and outdoor seating.

Food choice is somewhat limited

Very small local family restaurant, offering a not very large selection of grilled meats. Portions are very big and good value for money, but the choice on the menu is quite limited and the overall impression not fantastic.

food is unbelievable bad. we order the beef and it tasted like potato. The chips are low quality like just immersed in the oil and wet . The Lady waitress is seemed quite unfair to us. we're the first sitting in but the last served.

Mediocre food and poor service. There was one woman waiting on all of the tables with the help of a confused and rather useless young man. She made me wait ten minutes before letting me sit at the one open table. The food arrived quickly. I had the grilled chicken (their signature dish) which was so so. The bread was quite good. I was not even offer a dessert or coffee. I understand that the young woman had far too many tables to serve, but in terms of recommending this place? No, Neither the food nor the service merit your attention

Good but average

It doesn't help when you are a traveller that doesn't speak the country language. Although, we are quite used to pointing and trying to get our message across we are never prepared for bad service. Our waitress was as unpleasant as a person in the service industry could get. Bless her heart maybe she had a bad day??? The food was good I do recommend the ribs.

Horrible...

I ate there last year and food was good and services but this time around it was bad the girls servings us was not friendly at all and the food had no taste and very oily. To experience for its food. Avoid this place it's terrible.

We visited Restaurante Churrasqueira Vitoria following T.A recommendations and were very disappointed. The bread was at least a day old, probably 2 days old. The food was not tasty, and the service was sloppy and indifferent. Bottom line: Avoid. Eat somewhere else.

The food is heavy and oily and tastes bad. Go there only if you are hungry, and have no other choice. Terrible service. Location is good...

Okay for Sunday.

Basically the only place open on a Sunday evening. It was okay. We had the grilled chicken -- their signature dish -- but it managed to be both dry and a bit greasy. The red wine we ordered had obviously been kept in a place where it was too warm. Would opt for some place else on days other than Sunday.

Small, family-run restaurant 100 yards from the Mosteiro. Great Portuguese cooking (Bacalhau, carapau, pork, etc.). Very inexpensive: about 7 Euros for the three course menu with wine and coffee. Modest, small, but very good.

Fantastic and typical

We found this restaurant right next to the Mosteiro, very cosy and friendly service. They even have their own BBQ chicken take away service. The menu was mouth watering, we'd recommend the Carne Porco Alentjana. Staff were very friendly. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Amazing food and service...

I loved it...from the waiter serving us to the amazing food. Out of all the restaurant's in batalha I have to say this was the best one. The young man was so kind and the food was absolutely delicious. They made me feel I was family. Absolutely a true ☆☆☆☆☆ restaurant. Thank you so much obrigado.

small but tipical portuguese food

this restaurant is where locals go, it has little space, too small for so tasty dishes, they have tables outside, but in winter its not appropriate. The menu of the day is abundant, too much for one person, you can choose fish or meat, We chose stuffed octopus with beans, the soup was also very good, the olives, the bread and the wine all delicious, lots of choice for nice tasty home made dessert. We just paid 7 euros per person!! a bargain! Besides being very nice! I really recommend this restaurant but you may have to wait to be attended.
