As we were having a three course dinner in our hotel, we just wanted a light lunch. I ordered chicken salad, and my husband a tuna salad, both tasted very good. We also ordered chips, bread, olives and wine. Very reasonably priced....

Best sardines I have ever had. Simple menu but utterly delicious. They just keep bringing freshly grilled sardines, until you beg them not to.

We arrived and we told the guy if we could have a table for 7. He said yes and told us to wait a few minutes. We waited, and while we were waiting, Portuguese people came in and the guy gave them a table before...us. We waited more than 30 minutes and he kept ignoring us and not moving a finger or toe for us. We finally left and now I am writing this. They aren't formal ner serious with their clients. Shameful.More

We had no reservation and therefore could not eat there. However, the manner in which we were sent away was downright rude. I would never go back there again.

Sardines is all which is served there, but “all you can eat” style, they keep bringing more until you say stop. Very simple dish, served with boiled potatoes and a side of lettuce, onions, tomatoes and green peppers salad. Sardines are prepared Portuguese style, grilled...whole with guts and all, but they are very tasty, even when from frozen out of season. The place is small, so you may need to wait depending on arrival time. Our dog Molly was welcomed as we had our lunch outside, nice ocean views, they even offered her a bow with water. Price is ok if you are hungry and like sardines, otherwise it can be a little pricey in terms of Portuguese regular dining. Service was very good, will stop by again to try fresh sardines in the summer.More

If you want to have an experience and enjoy sardines this is the place to go. All you can eat sardines for 12€. The sardines are fresh and delicious. The place is picturesque and even the owner's special attitude adds colour to the experience. Go...with time as this is not a quick restaurant.More

As other reviewer said, find a table (you might have to wait a bit but make sure you give your name), seat down and order some drinks.Try local wine vinho verde, sparkling or flat on tap is good. And the rest will follow and with...that sardines till you say stop. Lovely place for some fresh delicious inexpensive easy going meal.More

Great for grilled sardines. When we had lunch it was the only thing they did. 11 Euros per person for sardines, salad and potatoes but you can eat as much as you like. When the plates are empty they are refilled without asking. Excellent for...people with big appetites. White wine (off dry verde from pump) passable because it was cold but could be better and for Portuguese standards expensive at 8 Euros per litre. Sardine quality good. Plump and delicious. I understand that out of season frozen sardines are used. The biggish sardines are served whole and ungutted. So, very good if you are hungry but if you only eat a few relatively expensive. Staff could be friendlier.More
