Great food, great service. Very nice people. Loved it. Try the inhames or the morcela. The steaks are great. The bacalhau is divine.

Your typical portuguese restaurant: lots to see in the walls, old feel, noisy with a somewhat controlled friendly caos. Started with no table (very full, with queue.. this one is popular). I was invited to join a table and ended up making local friends. Can't...get more portuguese than this. The food is way delicious, cheap, and with good (albeit big) quantity. I had only typical local Azorean dishes: Alcatra, Morcela with Pineapple and the Dona Amelia pie. Damn was delicious! Kind of far, but walkable, from historical center. Staff is friendly and funny. Must visit in the city.More

If you are staying at the Pousada, this restaurant is a 5 minute walk from your hotel. Large selection of meat and fish dishes, including local fare, the quail was awesome! Great service, good sized portions and a fabulous wine selection, a friendly cozy atmosphere....The prices here are also very good compared to other restaurants in the city core.More

We were lost looking for another restaurant on a dark and dreary evening in a two door smart car...enough said. Found this restaurant in a very non descriptive area. Food (huge portions),service (super friendly) and cold beer. Wife had the white fish ...so light and...delicious pan fries with potatoes and salad. I had a steak with a coffee sauce, fries and rice . Decent enough. Custard pudding for dessert..delicious! Add three beers for 25 Euro. Placed was packed and we were lucky to have squeezed in as if reservation.More

The staff is very friendly and some speak English. Don’t let the low prices fool you, the food is very good for the price range. The wine was also very good. They are busy here so a reservation is recommended during busy dining times, however,...they are quick to turn the tables over and get you seated. The experience was so good that we ate there two times during our one week visit.More

Very reasonable prices, huge portions, and tasty wines. They always manage to find a table for us. Very popular with the locals so you can be assured of fair prices and hearty food. We usually stay at the Pousada and Canadinha is a short walk...away.More

The staff, ownership, and the locals all made a great effort to welcome us to this authentic neighborhood eatery. Decorated with bull memorabilia, "futbol" photos, and pictures of the Terceirians enjoying meals and events in the restaurant, the place feels like a timeless, down home...Azorean restaurant. I cannot say enough about how welcoming the people were. After our third meal in four days there, we were greeted enthusiastically and warmly by everyone, diners and waitstaff alike. People were asking where we were from, recommending activities and restaurants from other island towns, and trying out their English on us since my Portu-espanol was a limiting factor in our ability to communicate. I highly recommend this place. Try the "Lulas en Natas" or the "Lulas Grilhadas", a real treat for a calamari lover like me!More

We were lucky to get a table here as the restaurant was buzzing when we arrived but they managed to fit us in after a short wait. You get the sense this place hasn't changed for years. There were more locals than tourists which is...always a good sign and the price was incredibly reasonable, some of the best value seafood we have had on the island. Service was sometimes slow but friendly enough. A nice , unrushed meal.More
