Just got back from an amazing dinner. The server recommended the tuna as it was fresh and he was spot on. I’m a picky fish eater and I loved this dish. My husband both got the tuna and cleaned our plates. We had two tuna...entrées and a bottle of wine for €54 def worth it.More

We had a great experience at Captains table. The food was organic and very tasty; suitable for meat eaters, pescetarians, vegetarians and vegans. The service was really good, with suggestions, explanations of the plates and good conversation! If we end up in Terceira again, we...will definitely come back. Hope you will enjoy it as much as us :)More

This little restaurant was a great find! The service (Renato) was great, super welcoming and professional. The atmosphere was also very cozy and the view was just amazing. The most important part (the food obviously) was absolutely delicious! This was a great experience and we...will most certainly return! An absolute MUST if you visit angra!More

A very cosy restaurant with very kind service and cook. We had delicious local dishes with some international “finesse” - best food/restaurant during our 3 weeks on the Azores as it was really more fine than the usual local food. Our recommendation? Petra and Daniel

We were lured in by the nice ambiance and groovy music. We were not so hungry so we thought we would share a starter or two and a glass of wine. The food was so delicious that we ate almost all their starters on the...menu in the end and drank a wonderful bottle of white wine that was recommended by a very friendly waiter who knows how to engage with guests. The food was an extraordinary fusion of local fresh produce with a strong Turkish influence but in a way we have never tasted before. Their humus with Zahter and crispy bread was perfectly seasoned, local broad beans with the spread was very tasty, local sausage spicy sucuk with an egg on a hot plate disappeared in no time, perfect falafel and “kefir in vineyard” - so original and balanced! I love grilled Hallomi Cheese and cacik - my favourite. But the total delight was the monkfish foie gras with caviar and capers - mindblowing. We had a chance to talk to the Chef who loves what he does and you feel privileged to be on the receiving end. It was a wonderful culinary and warm experience. I almost forgot the absolutely extraordinary crunchy pumpkin with burnt cream! Gastronomic wizardry. You have to discover for yourselves ;)More

A fantastic blend of Azorian and eastern Mediterranean cuisine. Led by the catch of the day of local fishermen and seasonal produce grown organically on the island, the British-Turkish chef (a captain stranded midway the Atlantic) has been dishing up delightfully original combinations for two...years now. After having worked our way through most of the starters one evening, we returned a few days later to try the mains. We followed the recommendation and opted for grilled swordfish - honestly the best we’ve ever had: a generous cut from the back of the fish, the medaillon was thicker and juicier than anywhere else. Accompanied by a subtle sauce, vegetable kofta, beetroot tartare + cured egg yolk, potato + garlic butter, and a fresh Alentejo white, the dish offered plenty to discover, all in perfect harmony. The staff’s kind attention and expert advice made the evening complete. This little gem of a restaurant deserves to be better known.More

The best restaurant in Terceira and we tried most of them. Try the limpets, an Alcatra prepared dish or the Tuna. A passionate chef who stands for quality products, fine cooking and a great balance in all dishes. The crunchy pumpkin dessert just may not...be skipped.More

We enjoyed dinner at the Captains Table on the 19th of July. It was the opening night of the new menu. The food was eclectic and perfectly prepared. Our waiter was very busy but was able to attend to our needs. The Captain introduced himself...and told us a bit about the food preparation. We will definitely return!More
