What a nice surprise. We had an early dinner here - they closed at 7. I had francesinha made special with chicken - was wonderful. My wife had octopus with rice which was also very good. We’ll be back.

Great location. Friendly staff. Wonderful espresso. This cafe was a godsend when we arrived after traveling all night and found out our room wouldn't be ready for 4 hours.

We visiting first for a coffee and cake. The service was really fantastic. We returned the next day for lunch and had a great typical fish soup dish. Was great.

I’m a jaded New Yorker when it comes to dining. The food in Angra do Heroísmo is overall very good however, much the same every where. One exception is VerdeMaca. Unique menu and excellent preparation using vey fresh ingredients. The decor and atmosphere of Jazz...is wonderful. I keep returning!More

Ate here numerous times! Lunch specials 5.50 to 7 euros includes beer or wine. They have a patio or you can eat in doors.

We had the lunch specials and they were fine but nothing special. The soup of the day was very good. Nice to sit outside on the platform but it needs leveled out as it is on a slant making dining uncomfortable.

We had been advised to go here for a lunch, but we must have chosen the wrong day or the wrong dishes. We ordered lasagne and a sallad. The lasagne was dry. The sallad was just pieces of fruits and vegetables put on a plate...and not mixed at all, something I could have made myself at home. And there was supposed to be a passion fruit dressing and it was just normal olive oil and vinegar dressing. So we were very disappointed. But we could go back one day, but then for just a coffee or something to drink, because there is nothing wrong with the place itself.More

We found this place after looking for a coffee shop to spend some time in before checking in to our hotel. Staff were excellent, coffee / food (breakfast) very good. We went back quite a few times (even though our hotel had complimentary breakfast). They...have out door seating, indoors it is airy and light. Good selection of coffee, tea and food choices.More

This place is so quaint, food is excellent. it opens early for breakfast and is open until late. The inside of the restaurant is so lovely and with that old meets new atmosphere. This place is a must-go!

Went to this Cafe for a mid-morning snack. Coffee and cake were both good. Nice decor as well. Would come back if we visit the island again.

I stumbled upon this great place in the morning while awaiting my hotel room and glad I did. The staff were very welcoming as I came through the door. It is a very smart cafe and S nice size. The coffee bar in front also...has a very good selection of Portuguese pastries, sandwiches and quiches for a quick bite. They do have a menu and offer specials each day. The soups are delicious, as are the other offers. You can get a light meal too for lunch and dinner. You can order at the bar and they will bring it to the table that you choose. They do table service too if you simply walk in and take a seat. They also have seating outside for when the weather is nice. I popped in here almost every day and wasn't disappointed. They have a very eclectic mix of music playing and creates a very relaxed atmosphere. The hamburger made with local beef was mouthwatering. It went well with their local Brianda beer. Regardless of what you decide on, you will not be disappointed. Obrigado and Muito Bom to the staff there. I shall return.More

This restaurant has an amazing ambiance. It feels hip and yet relaxing at the same time. Great tunes are emitted through a superior sound system. The chairs are comfortable and make its o you don’t want to live. I had the best hot chocolate ever....It was very thick, rich and creamy. The bill was 11 euros for 2 beverages and 1 chocolate eclair which I happily paid. I would have loved to stay longer as the atmosphere is extraordinary. I highly recommend.More

Had lunch here today. A good daily special for 7 Euros, including soup and main course, plus beverage (wine and beer are included choices). Today it was seafood soup and rice with duck. Friendly English speaking staff. Don’t miss the hot chocolate which is rich...and thick. Pleasant environment, reasonable pricing. Rated 3 to 4.More

Tasty home made soup, excellent main dish and large glass of red wine included in the daily special, for around 6 Euros, no complaints at all. Excellent service from friendly wait staff who spoke English very well, and provided helpful suggestions. We visited twice, and...wish we'd found it sooner!More
