Wonderful traditional dishes, including cabbage soup and traditional Azorean beef stew. Everything was so tasty, hot and perfect. Servers were friendly as well as the cook. Wine good. A must stop!

Stopped here for lunch whilst on a coach tour of this part of the island. We were told to look out for the local special dish of meat, cooked in a pot for several hours. We were given some bread to start with the local "wobbly" cheese that had been tried before. This is rather tasteless but is not that bad... More

By common consent our group did not like this place, the cabbage soup was all leaves and stalks and little actual soup liquid and as for the beef stew! It was recooked bones and gristle from previous servings. Served with potatoes. No vegetables. We did like the cauldron the stuff was served in though. It was noted that our guide... More

We had lunch here as part of an all day Island tour. It is located in an old mill. The place is very charming and cozy. We were served a traditional meal of bread, olives and cheese with a delicious kale & cabbage soup. Then we had the famous alcatra which was absolutely delicious. It was served with boiled potatoes.... More

This place has THE best veggie soup EVER. I had 3 servings of it. The meal and dessert and wines are plentiful. I would go back to this place at any given time. The best experience in Terceira . I give this place a 4 stars

As others have written, we stopped here as part of an all day bus tour with Azores Getaways. The meal was complete from bread/cheese/olives, soup, alcatra or fish filet, desserts, coffee, and plenty of wine. The servers were efficient. Over the course of our stay we ate at 75% of the Trip Advisor top-rated restaurants and cafes and this was... More

I have heard great reviews of this place and tried to eat there no less than 10 times in 9 months. Today I finally got the opportunity. I think the cold day may have affected the experience as the staff was not very warm at first and we felt unwelcome. They were out of the Red Snapper and you only... More

We had heard that this restaurant had great traditional Portuguese food. As we were mid-week, we had no problem getting a reservation. When we got there we were seated and the waitress helped us choose good local wines and explained many of the dishes to us. We had a wide variety of food from fish to pork to beef. All... More

We were on a full day tour of the island. The meal was part of the tour.On tours one tends to not have high expectations for the food. This place was unique in every way.It was a place very popular with the locals. This is a good sign.We were served the alacatra. It was the first time I had the local specialty. It was delicious... We stopped to eat lunch at Os Moinhos during our tour of the Terceira Island. We had Alcatra, a traditional meal in Terceira made of various types of meat. Excellent. We were close to 80 people. What a great meal with had.
