A friend and I were taken here as part of a tour, and treated to a simply delicious traditional Azorean meal! Our guide picked out the menu, which included a sampler platter of fried sausage, including black sausage (incredibly yummy!), pork ribs and liver stew with potato and vegetables, as well as the alcatra. I have never had such delicious, tender beef! We got to try the local Terceiran "green" wine, which was crisp and refreshing, and then had a choice of desserts. We all had the parfait, which was a perfect and tasty end to a wonderful spread. Because lunch was covered in the cost of our tour, I cannot comment on the prices. The restaurant is cozy, inviting, and homey, and it felt like we were guests in someone's home.

We stopped at Ti Choa for lunch on our tour of the interior of the island with North38. Our guide insisted this was the best Alcatra on the island outside of his mother's. I admit this is the only Alcatra we had and it was delicious. The meat was so tender and the gravy needed to be soaked up with bread. We also shared a sampler of sausages and although the blood sausage doesn't sound appetizing it was delicious. Our waiter spoke perfect English and was happy to recommend a local white wine as well as the sweet vinegar for dessert. This also doesn't sound appetizing but was one of the best desserts we've had.

Nice and cosy typical restaurant filled with genuine love, in the form of hosts' welcoming and serving the best meal they have to offer! Two lovely ladies do the honors of the house: mother and daughter, I believe... They cook and serve some of the best local food you can find on the island, probably at the best prices. I believe they are unbeatable in terms of quality-cost, since food is very tasty and served in XXL portions, at a very nice price! On fridays they even bake their own bread in their typical wood-oven!

My husband and I were there 3x in the 3 weeks there in Terceira. We love the food, which is reasonable and delicious! The ambiance is relaxed with old world feeling. The staff are very attentive in this small eating place, with great food and wine & desserts, including authentic Alcatra, steaks and fresh baked bread made on Fridays, which we got to enjoy before heading back home to U.S. Only 10 minutes from our home in Doze Ribeiras when on vacation.

Our group had dinner at Ti' Choa. At the recommendation of the server, we had the tasting menu which offered a range of pork dishes and a beef dish. Each was quite good and none of us left hungry. The wine list included a wine from Biscoitos, which proved to be a disappointment. We moved on to a white from Pico that was quite good. We were on the island in the shoulder season and were not able to get in for lunch, so we made a dinner reservation. We timed our dinner just right to end around sunset. A short walk from the restaurant offers a great spot to view the sunset.

Stopped in on an around the island drive. Food was amazing. Helping her absolutely huge helping at a ridiculously low price. At the table we had sirloin steak...2 large pieces cooked to perfection and really tasty. Also had the local fish. Three large pieces with salad and potatoes. Servers were great. Friendly, funny and answered all questions.

In a remote village on Terceira there's a place where you'll wan't to throw your diet out the window and celebrate the glory of all things meaty. This charming, wood-panelled room in a house right by the road attracts a loyal following (if the lively conversations between the patrons and the owners were any indication). They suggested a menu for us and we started with bread and cheese, and then feasted on Azorean pork, sausages, and a beef stew with red wine cooked in a wood-fired oven for six hours. Everything was simple and delicious. A nice selection of wines from the Azores, as well. And the service is relaxed and casual, sort of like family. As a traveller, it's sometimes nice to feel like you're eating home-cooking. And this place really delivers on that.

The serving staff recommended starting with bread/cheese, then a two dish meal to sample the Portuguese foods from the area. The first dish was an assortment of pork, beef/liver stew, sausage, potato. The second dish was a beef stew. The food was excellent, serving portions large, we left with 1/2 the beef stew. Ambiance in the restaurant was cozy, I would recommend taking the time to drive here, but advise making a reservation.

Out of town little gem. We enjoyed our meal consisting of sausages to start, followed by alcantra for two. They add cinnamon to this dish which we later learned is rather unconventional. Loved how the meat was seared on one side and it was extremely tender. We had the dessert with vinegar which was very unusual and tasty. The 5 rating is due in part to the outstanding service!

This small food house has tradition in every sense, the decoration, the wooden oven, the people who welcome you and serve you as if you were their relatives. The tasting menu has several amazing dishes from the ancesters of this people, with two kinds of bread. This is for sure a mandatory and also unforgetable exeprience.

This restaurant was a cool find. It had this typical cosy vibe with food traditionally from Terceira, and the staff was friendly. I recommend trying different plates, especially the Alcatra, it's a meat dish and the dessert very unique in the region. They also have a few kinds of cheese and charcuterie for entry. I would recommend booking a time to be sure you have a table and you can park the car in the street!

It was a great experience. The first thing that shocked us was the great treatment received from the waiter, Sergio. So friendly, so active, so respectful. He recommend us a typical group of meats from the country and the great “Alcatra”. We finished with an incredible dessert, also recommended for Sergio. It was everything delicious. This restaurant is a MUST. If you are in Terceira, you have to come

Very poor service, not very welcoming. We did not take the typical cheese recommandation at the beginning and since then the waiter ignored us. We had the dish with 5 different meat, very overcooked and very greasy. The beef stew swam in oil. The decoration of the restaurant is nice, but service and quality of food was a big deception.

A group of us stopped for dinner one night as it was highly recommended. We ordered the sampler for the table and a large bottle of wine. The food was good and the experience was fantastic. We had fun and sampled some delicious food.

My tour guide brought me here when I said I like meat dishes. I started with a tasty cheese plate and a platter that included yummy pork bites. My main dish was the star of the show, slow cooked beef in a clay dish. The restaurant staff recommended a red wine that paired wonderfully. I didn’t save room for dessert and can’t remember the dish names, but you should try this place.
