We ate here on our last night in Sao Miguel. Big mistake - we should have eaten here first! Friendly staff, great food, comfortable and clean setting. Like some other reviews said, don't let the unassuming exterior fool you, this place is worth it. Make...sure you have a reservation or show up early. This was an unexpected pleasure… just by luck got in without a reservation and was welcomed warmly by the owner. She was delightful and so excited to see everyone come through the door. They have a great selection of fresh fish and a standard fare...of accompanying sides. Everything was perfect and we really enjoyed the whole experience. They offered us a complimentary after dinner drink to try something locally produced. It was a great dinner .More

This place was perfecto! We had the skewered which were presented in a grande fashion and delicious! Along with the songs which were wonderful.

We went there because there was such great reviews… well, the prices are high, good quality but don’t expect anything worth 5 stars! The place smells really bad, probably some issues with the sewers!

Extremely friendly staff. Excellent service. I had the espetada de lombo and my wife had lombinhos de porco. Both were excellent. And I loved the complementary brandy at the end of the meal.

The owner is very friendly and kind, she makes you feel at home as soon as you arrive, like you are visiting family. Her and her son are very attentive and clearly take pride in their food and service. The food is based on local...specialties and is homemade and well prepared. We actually came twice in one week. The first time was for dinner. We had the lapas, a local specialty, and cheese with a delicious honey to start. We had swordfish for the main course...you can see the fish in the display and choose what you want, so it is very fresh, and you can taste the freshness. The second time returned because we mentioned a favourite fish that she didn't have, but she said she would try to get some for us. We called to confirm the next day and sure enough, she had taken the time to get this just for us, and it was excellent as well. I would definitely recommend a visit here when it Ponta Delgada.More

Staff was very welcoming and took great care of us. Sadly the food was at best mediocre and overpriced, especially considering the restaurant being a bit off from the center in a poorer area. Fish of the day was quite costly and sides were not...that great that came with it.More
