Interesting place where customers get to grill the meat themselves to their likes. The quality of the meat is high and everything is locally sourced from the Azores: we ended up ordering 7 portions for 5 people at very reasonable prices. Really recommended.
I’m have a gluten allergy. This was perfect. My tuna was very fresh, salt was the only spice they use. My husband grilled, fun. Unassuming but friendly.
Found the grill by accident - lucky enough. Each table has ist own grill,you order plate of fresh meat to grill on your own and to your taste. Staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
Acores Grill is a fun place to eat where you select what type of meat you want to cook at your table. The cuts of meat were thin and not great quality but the cheap price makes it well worth giving it a try. Wine...was flt tasting but beer was good.More
Really unassuming from outside but we wanted to visit as the TripAdvisor reviews were great- and they weren't wrong! We went at 7pm when it opened and it was full by 745pm so go early if you haven't reserved a table. Straightforward menu - good...range of meat platters, chips (delicious ) and salad. Bbq at your table - that's fun! Cheap wine from a jug - only €2 a large glass and cheap beer available. We loved it and hope we can go again whilst we are here.More
delicious grilled meats at an excellent price point. we didn't have a reservation but the server accommodated us and impressively server the entire dining room incredibly well.
Welcoming small restaurant providing all the fun of barbecuing a plate of meats or fishes at your table, to be accompanied by salad, rice, chips or, best of all, black beans. Alcohol is cheap, beer is in three sizes and wine is local from a...jug. Deserts are fab and he has a bottle of Macieira if you ask nicely!More
After waiting in line we were appalled that local people (who had told us they had no reservation) behind us also in the waiting queue were bing seated before us and other (very nice) Portuguese customers who intervened on our behalf were told ‘locals have...an automatic reservation.’ This was bordering on discrimination and I would not recommend this restaurant. Unfortunately I can not comment on the food but the customer service was rude, shocking and humiliating.More
We were going to eat in a local bar, but it was to loud and busy. We knew about the Açores Grill and decided we would try it out. Although service was a bit haphazard, it wasn't surprising as the waiter was working hard to...accommodate diners between tables. We had a really good evening there and enjoyed our mixed meat plate, steak plate, mixed salad, chips and desserts besides the very good wine. We had coffees to finish. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for meat lovers.......More
Good food, friendly staff, very good prices. You grill your own meat at the table. Best to make a reservation or come early at 7. Closed Mondays. Best choise in Ponta Delgado.
Really enjoyed eating at this restaurant. You chose your meats and they brought a hot grill to the table and you cooked everything yourself. Staff were really friendly and we loved it. Good value
Great family dining experience. You choose your meats and then get to apply seasoning and grill it yourself on a hibachi at your table. We all loved it. We ate at the #1 rated trip advisor restaurant last night and we all agreed that the...food was better here. The service was excellent. The restaurant was well-air conditioned (unlike most other Europe restaurants we’ve dined at on our trip) and the prices were outstanding. The black beans and rice were cooked perfectly as were the fries. Highly recommend this place.More
Not easy to fund or book a table at Ponta Delgada. We found this little restaurant. No other guests but us. Fine service. Simple food. Paid EUR 60 for 5 people.
I would definitely recommend Acores Grill. It is a hidden gem and relatively cheap for the amount of food you get. This is a restaurant where you cook your own food at the table. The waiter brings out a table top BBQ. It was great...fun and something different.More
Very nice and unique! We ordered the special mixed meats, fish of the day, salad , fries and beers. Mixed meats and salads were great. The fish slightly underwhelming however the chips were our favourite, hand cut, and well cooked! Portions sizes were really generous....Unless vegetarian order meat over fish. Certainly recommend this place for something quirky!More
