The best expresso, the best bífanas and the best cerveja fresca. Very nice people beyond the bar. Waiting to go back soon
Needed a pick me up in the afternoon. Very good espresso from Cafe Clipper, and free wifi as well. thank you!
This is one of these places you enter and immediately know this is a place you were looking for instead of those fancy obviously tourist oriented places. Cafe Clipper is a place for locals but you as a visitor should feel good there. Quick shots...of liquors drank on the counter or good azorean beer you can sip leisurely sitting at the table watching football game. Good atmosphere, quite low prices and perfect service. Go in :)More
visited the Azores off a cruise ship 3rd February 2018, window shopping came across this local cafe by accident enquired whether they had Wi Fi, they had and very fast too. Delightful cafe, just as we like when visiting other countries. Clean and tidy, very...friendly and very good coffee at inexpensive prices, 1 euro a cup!! It was a rainy day but the cafe floor cleaned every few minutes due to customers walking straight off the street. Recommended a stop for coffee and a local custard tart! Will visit again if in Ponta Delgado again. ThanksMore
What a find! Stopped several times just for a brief rest and a coffee after some drinks. Lots of locsls. Super friendly owners.
What a great little place. Stopped in often for a quick, inexpensive beer. Coldest pint in town. A local hangout that was welcoming to this thirsty Canadian traveller.
Not for long staying. I went for a fast coffee after lunch, since I was late for a meeting. Very fast service and very welcoming employee.
We went to this cafe as an alternative given by our Hospedaria to have our breakfast. Extremly nice owner, made us feel welcome and provided us with everything we asked for.
Great little local bar serving beer, coffee, cakes & sandwiches. Not a place to take the wife out for dinner but a great lunch spot for a cold beer & a sandwich. The do an unbelievable deal for 5.25 euros which includes 2 rustic rolls...on pregos de bifanas - hot sliced meats - either beef or pork, a side of crisps, a small beer & a coffee! Superb value & very tasty. Friendly staff too. Oh - and for a few cents extra, don't miss out on their cakes - lovely home baked pasteis de nata. Go.More
