After a small chat the owner selected a super fresh and tasty fish. Excellently grilled and even boned by himself. Nothing to add. It was just great.

My mother is from the Algarve and my father cooks fish flawlessly. I begin with these credentials just to note I am used to eating really good fish at home. Me and my wife were recommended this restaurant along with the advice to let the owner pick the fish for you. I am glad i followed them as it was... More

12/06/2016 I had a 'Goraz' (I believe it is the Blackspot Seabram). I can say it was extremely well cooked, It was so tasty one cannot describe it. The Best fish in S.Miguel. The cooker was grilling the fish and was really nice, he explained a lot and offered an excellent meal. A Sea Delight one can say. ----- Comi... More

Simple, understated meal. Fresh fish, grilled perfectly and the typical potatoes and salad accompaniment.

Fresh Fish is the only thing that this not particularly inviting restaurant has going for it. It has a living menu in the sense that you get to pick your fish from the ice display case and it is then cleaned, deboned and grilled nicely by the owner right in front of you. We had three fish choices. The Fish... More

Attention to all foreigners! If you're looking for a SEAFOOD restaurant the word to search for in Portuguese is "Marisqueira". This is a specialized grilled fish restaurant. If you love fresh grilled fish you're at the right place otherwise you may be disappointed. Prices are a bit high for Portuguese standards mostly because you pay the fish per weight.

Came recommended by a tour person, (all of the recommendations we got were good), you walk in and are taken by a lady to a cooler to pick out the fish you want and then you watch the chef cook it, the kitchen/grill being just an extension of the dining room. The service was excellent, we actually seemed to be... More

The fish was caught this morning , filleted and expertly cooked by the chef, who owns the boat. Grilled with olive oil, salt and pepper. Served with potatos, salad and beans. Appetizer fresh soft cheese, pulpo and bread. That is it. This is THE place for the best local fish.

Great family restaurant to enjoy fresh fish from the ocean. The owner is a fisherman and he will grill for you a decent steak or whole fish from his daily's catch with a smile and a joke. His daughter will help you with things to accompany the fish, including wine. They have some good Portuguese ones, so trust her. Do... More
