clean, nice view from the hill, at the moment they renovate the spa area. Rooms are clean and the bath is clean.

From the outside it looks fine: a good spot looking over the ocean, great location. The rooms however wern't that good. Humid, small, dark and cold.... Had had the best years. The buffet was ok but not great. Staff was very friendly but did not realize the hotel the worked has had his glory days way back...

Had dinner here as a part of my stay in the hotel. It was buffet-like, with very limited choice (and I mean, very). Food was OK at most - just some pork meat and fries. The desserts were nicer though - three different cakes to choose from. I'd suggest looking for another place for dinner place.

Dinner meal was much better preparation than the basic breakfast buffet. However, service was exceptionally slow and there appeared to be only one waitress trying to handle a rather large dinner showing after a large group had just checked into the hotel.

The hotel is just amazing - with greatest view from the room with terrace - the ocean, the harbour, the Pico Island. The staff is so polite and very helpfull. The woman which works at the lobby bar is incredible and makes everything for the clients. The wifi is a little bit slow, but hey we are in the middle... More

Like: Very close to town. Dislike: Poor WiFi signal at rooms. No information at reception desk about swimming pools.

They have nice selection of seafood dishes. Try some of their cod fish, famous bacalhao, and you should be satisfied. It is very heavy tho so do not forget to order some wine. Try basaltico wine from Pico island.

Very accommodating staff, friendly and personable. We were staying here so we enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning. We also had drinks in the bar and at poolside. We got in late the first night and the staff was very accommodating to let us have a small meal in the restraurant although they were close to closing. The food was... More

The great saving grace of this hotel was that it made it easy to access everything we needed in Horta. But it was drab and dreary. There were old stains all over the carpets and my pet hate - the bed linen was poly-cotton. It did have a nice pool.
