Good food, good price for 4 persons. The fish was nice cooked and so good. The restaurant it's in a good zone. But it hasn't got wifi, as other restaurants in the zone. The deserts were so good, especially the cakes.

Tucked away by the bridge this place is a real gem. We enjoyed the excellent sardines grilled to perfection and a well prepared squid accompanied by delicious local potatoes and salads. Well worth the wait for a table, very friendly service and great value, thoroughly recommend this to all visitors to Portimao.

Good food, nice staff, good location but not with a sea view. A little bit too much smoke from the kitchen. I will prefer a little bit more diversity of receipes on the menu.

I ache when I am at a touristy destination and I have to sort through all these restaurants and discover something that is more that a tourist trap. Dona Barca is not a cheap place to eat, it might not be the best in the area but the fish I had there was great and I'm sticking with it.

We have been to Dona Barca for the last four years and initially really enjoyed it, the following years the place seemed to be slipping but unfortunately after last year we will not be returning. The fish we chose was cut in half and totally over cooked and dry. The waiters were hovering over around our table talking to each... More

This restaurant was recommended by the Front Desk of my hotel & I went for lunch today (Tuesday, July 12th). This is simply not the kind of place to send a well-travelled, middle-aged woman to dine alone at. The tables are all in long rows with as many chairs placed at them as possible. Everything is cramped together to the... More

Went with friends for lunch. The restaurant was buzzing. Had some grilled sardines and prawns with house wine. We also had a rice/soup dish with crabs, which was very nice. Friendly service too.

I have been to this restaurant twice once in 2015 and we made sure we returned in 2016. The place is simply furnished with long tables and benches. The service was good, we asked for sea bass and the fresh raw fish was brought for inspection and approx cost mentioned. It was cooked outside on a huge barbecue grill and... More
