Our second visit to this restaurant and it is really good. Food is freshly prepared and the staff were very courteous. Assadinho de porco was delicious as were the hake fillets. A lovely starter of local cheese be ham with delicious bread. Certainly worth a...visit when visiting Monchique. Closed on Sunday evening and all day Monday.More

We've been coming to Portugal for 30 years and we've never tasted piri piri chicken as good as this. It's amazing. The portugese prawns as a starter were also melt in your mouth. And we had a litre of lovely house white wine for 5...euros! It's no frills but it only adds to the experience. Along a main road but so enjoyable to be sat enjoying it in the secluded hillsMore

The Foz do Banho is a small road side restaurant just before entering Caldas de Monchique. We rented a holiday home just in walking distance and that is how we found it. The atmosphere is very friendly and the view from the terrace towards the...sea is really nice. The restaurant offers different dishes, but the main reason why we go there so often is the chicken Piri-Piri, which is outstanding. The food is simple but very good. If you are in Caldas de Monchique you should not miss it.More

Tasty lunch. Had the pork, clams and prawns casserole with rice and chips. Very tasty and nicely cooked pork. Chips were fresh not frozen which was nice. Good bottle of Rose wine. Service was good too. Would have given 5 stars but the chocolate mouse...was a bit dense and the almond carob tart was just too rich for me. Would go back though. We sat on the balcony as we had our 2 dogs with us. Lovely sunny day and a great lunch.More

We stopped off here after a nice drive out to the mountains and were glad we did. Piri Piri was excellent and good value. The house white win was also very good and very cheap...highly recommend!

We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Foz do Banho. The service was excellent the portions generous, great value. We both ordered the Garlic Quail which was served with mixed salad and French fries followed by house-made cheesecake for dessert. Everything was so good served in...a pleasant ambiance. Highly recommend!More

We were staying in the nearby resort and fancied a local meal. The place is adorable with a lovely terrace and unassuming authentic deco. I had the quail which was very tasty with homemade chips to dip in the sauce. We also had the prawns...which were beautifully presented and an omelette with almonds. All very tasty and the house wine is not bad at all and at 1.50 per glass you can’t go wrong!More
