You'll get simple but very tasty food at A Rampa, combined with great views down Mount Foia. The service is always with a smile. Try the Chicken Piri Piri and the omelets too - very light and fluffy! And their home-cured ham is delicious! Definitely worth a stop off.

Great restaurant on the hills of Monchique with a wonderful view over the Algarve. Best Chicken Piri Piri! Good advise is took book in advance because it usually crowded. One of our favorite places to go to when friends and family are visiting.

A must for our family every year. Great combination with a trip to monchique market and Foia. You can book a table probably good idea in the summer.

I come to the Rampa Restaurant for over 20 years now, mostly at the weekend when I drift my Caterham through the many curves up to Monchique or on one of our sunday motorcycle trips through the Algarve mountains. They have the typical charcoal grilled chicken piri piri (piri piri are chillies, spicy!) and since 20 years they are our mountain meals, with a... The restaurant was a short way down from Fóia. There was some parking space opposite the restaurant. We arrived at about 17:30, a little early for dinner but we decided to go ahead anyway. It was open. There was no customers. We took a seat inside near the window. Ordered two sets of piri-piri chicken which come with fries. This... More

We went to A Rampa for the piri piri chicken and it really was fantastic! We started with Couvert which was lovely - bread, butter, sardine pate and local cheese. The piri piri chicken came out on a platter along with a platter of home cut chips and a lovely salad. The chicken was tasty and spicy without being too... More

Great service, food and prices. We ate at this restaurant 5 night in the week we stayed, we had a different meal each time, everything was cooked perfectly. Thank you so much for the wonderful food, wine and atmosphere.

Lucky again. This is how it should be. A spectacularly beautiful setting for a relaxed simple restaurant. Very friendly and honest people. Returned 24 hours after first visit to find that they are both found and kept some papers I had lost Good cheese omelette and excellent Piri Pirichicken Half a bottle of Planalto for the passenger five euros.
