Quite simply the best fish you could eat anywhere particularly the dourada fish. In addition to the quality of the fish the service is first class with a group of very pleasant staff and finally at a price that is just great value.

We nearly walked past but saw people queuing outside waiting for a table. Thought it must be good if people are waiting. Lovely sea bass and Tuna belly served with fresh salad and potatoes. Very reasonably priced. A really nice atmosphere with a lot of...locals people having Sunday lunch. Really good service. Going back before we go home.More
Good fresh fish, good service, friendly staff, a bit noisy but it is expected in such a large restaurant full of customers. Reasonable prices and lower than in most restaurants in centre Lagos, where some are incredibly too high! We'll come back.
Food was super fresh , very simple Portuguese fair . The restaurant looks a little underwhelming because of its location down a little street with not much of a view of anything except the trucks parked in front . Food and wine prices were incredibly...reasonableMore
Very good grilled fish. Simple, fresh, tasty! Not pretentious or sophisticated, but excellent quality served as per the best normal traditional Portuguese fish cuisine.
For a fish restaurant you would expect to get fresh fish, not pre-frozen. We had mussels (tiny and many shells didn’t have any), squid (my son had to chew and chew and chew. Cutting it was like a dissection) and swordfish which was dry. I...asked if the squid was frozen before cooking and was told “yes”. None of the waiting staff did a “check back” when we were mid meal and had they done this I would have said how bad it was. I did say at the end how bad it had been, the waitress didn’t even acknowledge, didn’t look me in the eye and no apology….and instead I just had a stroppy guy slap the bill down on the table, €70 for a bad meal for 4. Honestly, it was atrocious.More
Tasca de lota is in between an industrial estate and a train station and it is clear that they have put 100% of their attention into the food. We both had a delicious bottle of white Douro and the best fresh fish we have ever...had. We would recommend the Tuna steak but I don’t think you could go wrong as everything is so fresh. To cap it all off, we had 2 huge tuna steaks and a lovely bottle of white for under €40. Can’t go wrong here, would recommend for a late lunchMore
We've had a great dinner at this traditional Portuguese restaurant. It's nooit fancy but the food is absolutely delicious and great value for money. The fish was fresh and so tasteful. Make sure you go here when in Lagos
Horrible experience. Rude and unpleasant, unprofessional Staff manager. Complain book refused for several times. Some food was not fresh. Not a place to visit again
We have visited this restaurant three times this week and consider the best fish restaurant in Lagos. Freshly cooked and great value for money, and well looked after by the staff. This place was recommended to us and it is well worth a try.
If you want to be certain to taste a fresh local fish, find another restaurant. We ask our waiter for recommendations and he suggested codfish. He didn’t mention this was a frozen fish from Norway. The first bite tasted awful, kind of old smelly fish....While our company was eating their meals, we couldn’t get attention of a waiter so we were munching on 3 small potatoes and 3 slices of tired tomatoes. When the waiter finally came we told him our fish was inedible. Since he couldn’t help us, we ask to speak with the manager. To our big surprise, the manager said that, since we ate the potatoes, our complaint is not valid and she will charge us full price for the meal. Our first bad experience in beautiful Portugal. Stay away from this place.More
Our Hotel was just a 5 min. Walk away to the lovely Harbour/Marina….so over the bridge, keep to the right , walk on for a very few yards then turn right, you will see the back of a row of Industrial units ( Fish W/Salers…...carry on walking don the block and then at the end of the row you will find the “Tasca Da Lots” a superb family run Portuguese Restaurant, we ate there every night of our 7 day holiday in the Sun, it’s by far our favourite restaurant in Lagos. We found it originally by a friends recommendation a few years ago. It’s a “Hidden Gem” and well worth a visit. Great menu…. superb fresh fish, along with other great dishes. The service was superb, Carla was great & with lots of good advice, full of fun & extremely kind to us both. Give it a try well worth a visit….and… it’s extremely good value for money. Tony & Ann (Nottingham) P. S. See you next year.More
Exceptionally fresh lunch. Sardines and cod, vinho and cerveja. Delicious and wonderfully prepared fish lunch. Nice walk over the foot bridge and through the marina; a bit out of the way, and totally worth it.
This place is off to the side away from the marina. Not much as commercial places nearby so you have to know this place is here. Looks like a locals place with some tourists that are guided over. The food is fresh since they get...it from the nearby fish markets. They also prepare it over an actual grill. They do not fry their food. The food was simple and yet flavorful. Truly fresh and amazing tasting seafood. We had tuna and swordfish for our meals. They were both a huge hit. Definitely a hidden gem.More
We went there around 5PM, when most restaurant actually closed between lunch and dinner. The food was really good, fish, squid, etc. The only catch was cash only which we did not know, and nobody had cash or even debit card. So we left our...ladies as "hostage", drove back to hotel, got cash, and went back to pay for it. Overall, good experience, but don't forget to bring cash!More
