We went a few weeks ago and had the best meal, kids and never tried And Mexican food before. We managed to get them there once seated the kids loved the fact that you choose what your filling is on your own tick sheets.
Being...vegetarian wasn’t sure but I have never had so much variety before and everything was as fresh as can be. We ended up going twice during our vacation.
Downside is in UK we will struggle to find a place like this as chain restaurants don’t come close. Definitely recommend.More
So goooood! The staff were friendly. The make your own burrito concept was a good idea and I liked that you were able to choose as many of the fillings(not extras) as you wanted. Plenty of vegetarian/vegan options and the food itself is incredible!
I’ve lived in New Mexico and Texas, two places with top notch Mexican food, this place was something like I’ve never experienced before. By far worth whatever wait you encounter. My son who is the pickiest eater ever even ate half a cheese quesadilla which...is saying something. I wanted to order another plate of the chicken tacos I stuffed my face with but chose to leave room for dessert at a different place. My wife’s burrito bowl was well put together and she thought it was great too. If we’re able to make it back to Lagos again I’m going out of my way to eat here again.More
My girlfriend, her mom and I went here last night. It is a nice and bar-looking place with friendly waiters. We are ex locals from Lagos. My girlfriends mom still lives in Lagos, and we both moved to the Netherlands. So we do know our...way around in Lagos since we both grew up here and went to school and such. However, this was our first time at Beats and Burritos.
The starters with nachos were too simple. The only thing worth mentioning is the manga salsa. The mini cheesy quesadillas had not much flavor and reminded us of heated bread with cheese. Probably frozen.
Then we all three went for our own creation of tacos. I personally was a little disappointed since I was expecting the tacos to have a hard crust. They were simply put small wraps that you can buy in the supermarket. We asked the friendly waiter about this but he said that this is what they serve. He understood us but could not change this. We don't think that the wraps were fresh. Everything in the wrap was pretty tasteful. The guacamole was good and the flavors were there. I had a wrap with beef, my girlfriend had one with chicken and the mother had a vegetarian.
So why the Terrible review? Because the food was not that bad...? Well this is why, I woke up at 3:30 in the morning and had to go to the toilet. In the next 2 hours I went 3 times in total and my stomach started the hurt (diarrhea). I just went again and hopefully it is all out of my system now. My girlfriend had the exect same thing (diarrhea). The mom was safe though. So it probably was something with the meat. However, the vegetarian meat was hard to find, maybe they forgot to put it on?
Finally the price is quite expensive. We paid 20 euros a person for something that was not even that good. So for us we will not be going back ever again. You pick for yourself what you want to do with this review. Call it unlucky or something else but this is our experience. Thank you for reading!More
