We drove by Atalaia one day on our way to the Boavista Gulf Club not knowing anything about it but saw a street full of parked cars in an area where there really wasn't very much except these two non descript restaurants. I checked it out on TripAdvisor and the reviews were all very good. So we went for lunch... More

From outside it looks like another restaurant,, you get excellent service and very good food. The menu of the day is good value and the food is fresh. The locals eat here which shows its good.

Here for a family lunch, good choice of traditional meat and fish dishes, warm bread rolls and friendly service. Arrive early (12pm) to get the early cooking and share the restaurant with the working men

I am a regular visitor here. Not the best meal in town but certainly the best value. Good, home cooked specialities, plenty of choice, and efficient friendy service. Choose a main course from the blackboard, add a soup, bread and olives, dessert, coffee and half a litre of wine, all for less then 10€. Busy at lunchtimes.

It is a typical Portuguese eatery, and I believe we were the only tourists during lunch. Because it was really busy, before the waiter came to us a local from next table explained daily specials as we were staring at his plate of fried sardines. The prefix menu included: olives, bred, soup of the day, tomato/cucumber salad, baked potato, main... More

Surprisingly from a non portuguese manager, comes one of the most portuguese starters.. freshly baked bread with garlic in olilve oil sauce for dip. For me it's the perfect start of a meal, as I really like fresh bread. Than they have (FOR LUNCH) a great selection of dishes and deserts in a ALL INCLUDED menu. For 8,50 euros one... More

This is a great place to eat really wholesome food at a great price. Lunchtime is the best time to go, you might be sat next to a tradesman as lots of them go there for their fix price lunch. I sat next to the chef of a restaurant in Albufeire, he was friends with the owner. They then sat... More
