My girlfriend and I typically skip eating in Lagos centre as normally the lunch fare can be pretty dull. It's fine if you are after fish and boiled potatoes, but not much else - in our experience. I know that is exactly what a lot of people are after, so maybe judge my comments based on that. Anyway, we popped... More

Me and a friend went on a golfing holiday in Boavista, we ate out most nights. Restaurante Veneza was probably our favourite. The food was classy, lovely place inside and out, bar staff were very friendly. Great place and very close to the nightlife. Would recommend. 5/5

Went for a special meal for the two of us. Starters were pate and seafood soup, both delicious. Mains we had sirloin and fillet steak with freshly made Bernaise sauce, best steak I've had in Lagos, perfectly cooked. Dauphinois potatoes were highly flavoursome and delicious, chips spot on. Dessert we had the flambé peaches and after 10 minutes of adding... More

We tried the monkfish stew and the grilled monkfish. The stew was delicious, while the cream sauce was to strong for the grilled fish.

My wife and I were attracted by the sunlit tables on the sidewalk. My light lunch of sardines, boiled potatoes and green salad was simply cooked but absolutely delicious. My wife's monkfish and clams in a tomato sauce was also excellent. Friendly service and plenty of opportunity to view the hard working chefs in the busy kitchen.

Lovely restaurant with friendly employees. The dish of the day was cod, very tasty! We also ordered duck breast in orange, also very good. Definitely recommended to anyone :-)

Looked nice as we entered. The starter we had soups which were fine. The house wine was fine. The main course we ordered chicken piri piri. We received two chewy over cooked chicken legs some frozen veg and frozen French fries , and oh yes a bottle of piri piri sauce so that we could come up with our own... More

Had a superb meal at Veneza on Tuesday, the rack of lamb for two. Excellent service, very good wine, going back this evening for our final meal of our trip to Lagos.
