We visited here just before New Year. My husband ordered the camembert to start and I ordered the mussels. Both dishes were amazing, well presented and delicious.
I ordered the cod for my main with a sweet potato mash. I have a good appetite and did struggle to finish the dish the waiter had warned me I would not need any further accompaniments and he was right. Absolutely stunning.
My husband loves a steak and discussed his requirement with the waiter who recommended one. OMG it was huge when it arrived, cooked to perfection and my husband said it was the best steak he had ever had. There is all types of prices for the steaks this was a special treat we would not normally pay this much for a meal and to be honest we could have shared it and still been full.
The staff were attentive and knowledgable the food was amazing. If you are in Faro then we definitely recommend you visit this place. I rarely eat meat and there was a fabulous selection of other options on the menu if you are like myself.
Well done team you gave us a great experience to remember ❤

We popped in here for a quick lunch at the recommendation of a local friend. We chose from the snack menu which was actually amazing in its choice and very reasonable in price - as it was early in the day we did not want steak although we hear it is good.
My husband and I both had sandwiches, mine being smoked ham and brie and his being a club sandwich. We found the service to be very friendly and the food very good. Probably my favourite lunch during our week visit. Thank you

Lovely place, great service, great food, reasonably priced.
Shared the small chateau briand which was good but not the best I've ever had. I prefer mine medium well, so they took half away and cooked it longer which was a nice touch. Huge meal came with 2 baked potatoes, baked onion, tomato, onion rings, mushrooms and was served beautifully. Bottle of red was recommended at €24 a bottle and was okay. All in bill was €75 and would definitely return

To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The so called 'steak' was dry, overcooked and tough. When I complained, the manager said there was nothing wrong with the steak and I was just being fussy!!
I could go on about other things, but just do yourself a favour and save a fortune and go to a traditional restaurant. It's only for sucker English people, who want a decent steak - well you won't get one here that's for sure.

ficamos triste de não ter gostado, mas pedir um bife do lombo bem passado, não há outro modo de fazer, felizmente são poucos os cliente que tem essa opinião, tentamos agradar o máximo possível, mas infelizmente não nos e possível agradar a outros principalmente clientes que escolhem carnes sem qualquer Mermório bem passadas.

Having read other reviews on trip advisor wanted to try out this steakhouse. Booked and reserved a table for two in outdoor seating. Waiter very knowledgable reagrding menu and choose steaks until we saw other customers having a meat platter so opted for this which included, ribs, chicken, steaks, sausages, jacket pot with cream cheese presented well on wooden block. Both had a sauce, I had the peppercorn sauce which I think was the best I'd ever had, small amount but plenty. We swapped one of the jacket pots for fries. We also had the breaded camembert to start to share, five pieces and plenty to share. Had creme brulee for dessert but not great very runny and bland.
But overall would definity recommend.

We had reserved a table at the restaurant. When we arrived we were not greeted, or shown to the reserved table simply left us standing saying we could sit upstairs or downstairs. When we pointed to a table they said no it was reserved - we had reserved so what was the deal??
We were never welcomed to the restaurant or asked if we wanted anything to drink simply left at the table. When we alerted the waiter he said what do you want? Well a menu would be nice. He pointed to a QR code on the table that we thought was the password for the Wi-Fi (later we heard other guests assume the same thing). Again - no can I start you off with drinks, water etc. simply left to our own. This was at 7pm when the restaurant had just opened and it was still empty except for us and one other couple so not a busy night.
Looking at the online menu there was no wine list, so they had to bring that separately. I ordered a white wine, they brought me a red wine. Le sigh! My husband ordered one of the beers they had on tap, turned out of the 6 on display they only had 2. The online menu was very sparse and did not explain what the different dishes came with. I asked the waitress about the food the other guests were eating, she said it was the same sides for all the steaks; baked potato, onion rings, grilled tomato, baked garlic. We ordered the strip steak and it just came out with a super tiny potato and a salad. I asked about the other sides and they had to bring them separately. Apparently they were not part of that steak but the menu didn’t say and neither did the waitress. Also the garlic was not baked enough and quite raw. We ordered a chimichurri sauce on the side. If you know what that is you know it’s a mix of parsley, lime and chili. This was just parsley mixed with olive oil and nothing else. Disappointing.
The meat was ok but I honestly would not recommend this restaurant to anyone or come back for another meal.

This is a great place if you are looking for a variety of steaks, staff extremely friendly and helpful when trying to decide what cut of meat to try. Our New York Strips were cooked to perfection beautifully presented on carving boards with a selection of grilled corn fries and salad . I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Faro

So, once in a while being a typical UK tourist calls for and English breakfast and seeing as our hotels was not up to scratch we decided to hit upon Faaron as other reviews recommended.
We were decided to order mushrooms fried, eggs fried, toast, baked beans and spicy sausage very good all complemented each other as they should.
Friendly staff and great Americano with hot milk.
Also not expensive for morning as a tourist area. But when we order as a small breakfast take a time too long.

First visit and the waiter took great pleasure in showing us the hung meat, talking us through what he thought the good cuts would be. My colleague had a lovely looking fillet that apparently tasted great. I opted for the Black Angus burger and again really enjoyed it. Too full to try the deserts.

Booked a table here for steaks over lunch on Friday. Service was excellent and they had organised a nice table for us outside. All covid measures were dealt with efficiently including the optional digital menu via a QR code. Our waitress was very attentive and ensured we had everything we needed. The food was excellent, fresh and super tasty and the portion sizes were perfect. I ordered the fillet steak and my husband had the Angus sirloin, my father in law had the pork chop and my mother in law had the rack of lamb. All were cooked exactly to our liking so can't fault it.My steak was fantastic! Excellent quality and cooked to perfection!
Desserts were great too!We will definitely be back for more !

A beautiful Restaurant for dining inside or outside. Before I talk about the magnificent food let me mention the incredibly helpful and welcoming staff. They really are wonderful.
Of course the food is excellent. A great menu with a varied choice of dishes. The Steak menu is incredible. I started with the Entrada, a little platter of three tasters served with a crusty bread bun, delightful. The vegetable soup, delicious. My Sirloin Steak was cooked to perfection and the accompanying sautéed vegetables, rice and salad were amazing, beyond description. I have been going here for a long time and Faaron has always served fantastic food.

If you are looking for some fine meats look no further.
Here you find everything a steak lover desires from a tasty Sirloin to a T-Bone all the way over to their dry aged variants.
Very kind and helpful employees 10/10. Our servant tried to speak our nativ language and we had a good laugh with him.
Meat was cooked to perfection just like we ordered it.

We were looking forward to our steak dinner as we had been there on our last visit to Faro almost 3 years ago.
Things were quite different from our last visit as for a start it was very busy and if we had not made a reservation we would not have got a table on a Monday evening at 7pm.
I chose the 300gm Ribeye and my wife chose the fish dish which she enjoyed and was very satisfied.
My steak was not the same quality as before and I believe not quite 300gm.
The meal was over quite quickly and we left feeling that it was a lot of money for an average steak.
The red wine was ok for 29 euros.
There were a lot of staff as it is a very popular restaurant but we would not be going there again.

A carne e a mesma marca e fornecedor ha 6 anos, mantemos o mesmo produto e o mesmo fornecedor desde o inicio.
Sim a carne tinha 300g pois baixamis o peso de 350 para 300g.
Mas se pretender de 350g pide pedir.

Have to say that we walked past this restaurant a few times noting that no one seemed to be eating there, which always gives you doubts, however I really wanted steak and it seemed to be the only steakhouse in Faro town. I am so glad we went for it, me and the wife had one of the best meals we have ever had on holiday. As soon as we sat down the lovely staff made us feel welcome. We ordered a 300g tenderloin steak and Rack of lamb with herbs, both beautifully cooked, with Parmesan fries and onion rings and complementary salad bowls. No room left for desserts! All washed down with 2 large glasses of dry white wine and 2 beers all for €75. Amazing value so left a generous tip.
Go for it here, the food was so good! Photos here of the lovely food.

Great choice of steaks as well as lamb, pork and duck. You have to be really hungry to eat here as portions are large and the accompanying veg and salad are enough for several dinners. The place was busy and service was good. A great place to stop if you are really hungry.
