The waitress that was serving us became very rude and argumentative when it came time to split the check (as is normal when dining with a group of friends) spoke with the owner regarding the poor service and didn’t seem to care as it was...his wife. ruined the lunch and put me off the restaurant for good.More

We got told by someone on the train to stop and have a beer as it was a nice place to go.... wow... I know it's by a main road and that didn't bother us as it was nice to people watch... what can I...say... very friendly welcomed by staff and just sat in the sun having a beer.. the crips are a nice extra... we decided that we wanted to have something to eat.. this was in one of their special menu nights and as it was early evening and their were fully booked said that they could fit us in.. we just had a light tea which was lovely, my husband had snails and I had prawns. We then went back a few days later and had another meals which was amazing... definitely recommend stopping even just for a beerMore

Family like this place so we ate here. Carla serving breakfast very attentive. Ate there one night, lamb chops being the recommendation. Good, not great. The two Dutch guys serving though were excellent. Nicer eating experience inside. Outside in the sun for breakfast ok but...traffic noisy.More

We had dinner here twice during our week stay. The first time for the valentines 3 course dinner which was very good value and the food was delicious. So good even our fussy eater daughter tried the squid and came back for more. Our last...evening we eat here and I can recommend the pork kebab. We also had the royal breakfast the morning of our flight home. We didn't need to eat again until tea time. The food is lovely and prices very reasonable. The staff are friendly and welcoming.More

Visited this place on 3 occasions during the week 25/01 to 01/02, we had to try the cheese and bacon pancakes again, along with chips and salad, we returned on 2 more occasions and also had Nasi Goreng on the Wednesday which is a speciality...dish and was excellent. The man that either owns the bar or is manager made us most welcome on each visit and we had some good conversations. Lovely bar with classic decor, very clean comfortable very reasonable prices and most friendly. Highly recommended.More

Restaurant Hollandaise is a great Dutch pub I always look forward to visiting on any holiday I take to this sun drenched resort. This pub looks amazing, the interior is neat and tidy, great decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar, lots of...bric a brac adorning the walls pertaining to Amsterdam that looks really good, theres also plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Avenida Dos Descobrimentos. My twin brother Stephen and I were here on a Thursday night we were heading to The Strip and decided to drop into here for a quick beer ,we sat outside were a very pleasant member of staff served us a beer each,we opted to have that most Portuguese of beers namely bottles of Sagres beer, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just chilled out and took in the great pub we were in. On this visit I cannot really comment on the meals as we were here only for beers but I have ate here on many occasions over the years and the meals are just superb especially the burger options. My beer was exceptional, Sagres beer along with Super Bock beer is the most popular beer in Albufeira, a light, hoppy and unpretentious beer bursting with taste, very easy to drink,a beer style I really enjoy, when served iced cold as in this pub it's such a refreshing beer. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Restaurant Hollandaise is easy to locate along Avenida Dos Descobrimentos. A great pub ,well worth a visit if your in the area.More
