Dave and Carla welcome you at restaurant Hollandaise In the middle of the holiday village Albufeira (Praia da Oura ). You will find our cozy restaurant, where you can enjoy in a nice atmosphere dutch and international dishes. Starters vary from soup of the day, garlic bread, fried camembert cheese, carpaccio or large garlic shrimps from the oven. There is large choice of main meals. Our specialties are Spare ribs, wiener schnitzel and fillet steak with varies sauces. Also the children are not forgoten. There's a choice of pancakes or waffles and children menu's served with chips, applesauce, hamburger, chicken nuggets, fishfingers, english sausage, etc. To finish your night at Hollandaise, there are desserts and varies kind of coffees with liquors.

Visited this place on 3 occasions during the week 25/01 to 01/02, we had to try the cheese and bacon pancakes again, along with chips and salad, we returned on 2 more occasions and also had Nasi Goreng on the Wednesday which is a speciality dish and was excellent. The man that either owns the bar or is manager made us most welcome on each visit and we had some good conversations. Lovely bar with classic decor, very clean comfortable very reasonable prices and most friendly. Highly recommended.

The food at hollandaise was fantastic lots of choice and weekly specials, the inside of the restaurant is absolutly beutiful and prisine,David the owner is a very friendly and we had some nice conversations, David makes you feel welcome and his food is fantastic with good prices.
Recommend Hollandaise 100% you will not be disappointed.

My wife, adult daughter & I ate here for both lunch & evening meals several times over a few days in August.
We ate here twice for lunch. On both occasions the staff were excellent as was the food. The hamburgers were excellent and I had the shaorma which was filling and very tasty. I also had the frikadell which was also very tasty.
When we went for our evening meal my wife had the chicken skewers which she enjoyed. My daughter had the gypsy style schnitzel which she was very happy with and I had the hunter’s schnitzel which came smothered in a tasty mushroom gravy with small roast potatoes and vegetables which was excellent.
All in all this is a great restaurant/bar with friendly helpful staff and a wide and varied menu.
The only down side while we were there had nothing to do with the restaurant but was caused by an extremely rude English woman who berated the waiting staff about the condition of the egg on her breakfast after having already shouted at them regarding wanting one large water rather than individual bottles. I understand that sometimes it can be difficult to make yourself understood when in a foreign country but that is no excuse for treating waiting staff as lesser individuals.

Stopped off one morning for brunch as the menu looked interesting. Hubby had the standard breakfast ( with chips) and I had a mushroom omelette which came with lashings of toast. Very pleasant and the latte was excellent .
We made sure to visit again for coffee and a light lunch. Reasonable prices, tasty food and very pleasant staff. Well worth a visit.

Recommend to everyone, nothing on the menu that doesn't taste brilliant, never had a bad meal in all the years we have been going there. Staff are helpful, nothing is too much trouble, and served quickly with a smile.

On Av.dos Descobrimentos there's a place called Restaurante Hollandaise that offers a food and drinks menu and was very busy when we were here.This brilliant restaurant and bar has a superb interior with brilliant fixtures and features and excellent seating options both inside and outside.
We have visited here several times over the years and it's as good now as when we first went here many years ago.It was very busy when we went to here which is how me and my twin like pub's/bar's and restaurant's as there's a better atmosphere.When we went here we had a few bottle's of Sagres beers which were served iced cold and were well priced.
It's a superb Dutch restaurant and bar in a superb area of Albufeira and it's a bar well worth going to.(This is my first review of the Restaurante Hollandaise).

If there's one pub I know I'm going to visit on any holiday I take to Albufeira it's Restaurant Hollandaise ,been here before on many occasions over the years, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit.
A proper Dutch pub ,interior is superb, an island style serving bar dominates the main room, pubby decor and furnishings, big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Avenida Dos Descobrimentos, its just a really good pub to unwind in.
We sat outside on a really hot October night, we ordered and were served bottles of beer from Central De Cervejas Brewery ( Sagres beer ) and these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just kicked back and took in the great pub we were in while we sipped our beers.
This is one of the big beer brands of Portugal, a beer perfect for the hot climate out here along the Algarve, a golden, light and hoppy lager style beer bursting with taste, when this beer is served freezing cold as in this pub its such a delicious beer indeed, it's hardly a surprise that this pub is so popular with beers served in this good a condition.
We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to Restaurant Hollandaise we had a great time.
Restaurante Hollandaise is easy to locate along Avenida Dos Descobrimentos.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Sunday ,open from 10am.
Well worth checking out if you're in the area or planning a holiday to Albufeira.

The breakfast here is fantastic
We start every morning of our holiday here ( except Mondays when they are closed) and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. The owners are friendly welcoming and the restaurant is extremely clean. We would definitely recommend Restaurant Hollandaise to anyone visiting Albefira.

Just had breakfasts here but couldn't fault the food or attentive service by the staff.
Very reasonably priced and kids loved the royal breakfast and apple juice.
Went here frequently on our 10 day holiday and by far the best breakfast we had during our holiday.

We have visited Hollandaise every time we have been to albufeira - over 20 years since our first meal there! It’s so worth a visit. Delicious food, a mix of Dutch, English and Portuguese with some others thrown in. We had a really lovely meal with generous portions, quick service, friendly staff and reasonable prices. Always recommended!

Dreadful food , all over cooked and dried out. Looked reheated with burnt vegetables.
Rude waitress - came to ask how the food was . When we said its not good her reply was "thats what you ordered ". No attempt to make reparations .
Wine was dreadful too.
The owner came out with our change - said nothing .

We had dinner here twice during our week stay. The first time for the valentines 3 course dinner which was very good value and the food was delicious. So good even our fussy eater daughter tried the squid and came back for more. Our last evening we eat here and I can recommend the pork kebab. We also had the royal breakfast the morning of our flight home. We didn't need to eat again until tea time. The food is lovely and prices very reasonable. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

Family like this place so we ate here. Carla serving breakfast very attentive. Ate there one night, lamb chops being the recommendation. Good, not great. The two Dutch guys serving though were excellent. Nicer eating experience inside. Outside in the sun for breakfast ok but traffic noisy.

Thought we would try something a bit different in Albuferia, so decided to try here for our evening meal last week. It was a good choice.
Had a pork schnitzel. Came with a sweet and sour sauce and it was really nice.
Restuarant is just off the top of the strip. Give it a try.

Came here to watch the PSV v Rangers match and to have a evening dinner.
Enjoyed great hospitallity from the hosts.
Unfortunalely didn't enjoy the match much but the food was really great.
Without doubt the best meal we had during our holiday.
