The food at trinca Espinhas is exceptional! Very tasty and well prepared and you can chose among many menu options reasonably priced.I loved the service at the restaurant and the manager Luis was so welcoming and friendly with us and other guests, he took care to offer the best quality and recommend the best they had to offer from their extensive and great Menu,he was always around promptly to make sure we were comfortable. I was Searching for places to eat in the local area in Sines as we were driving pass through the amazing Costa Vicentina and this place popped up. I don’t normally leave reviews but I feel compelled as the food and service was absolutely exquisite. Next time I visit Portugal definitely will go back. I highly recommend this restaurant

We enjoyed the clams, the arroz de lingueirão (a speciality clam from the coast) rice and the pastel de nata. We tried the marvelous white whine Quinta dos Termos and it was all absolutely fabulous. We had a sense that the food was so well paired by the genuinely Portuguese way of well-coming, that we commented that theses guys deserve a visit from the Michelin team. We loved the lemon seasoned clams, the exquisite moscatel that paired the desert, but mostly we felt proud and grateful of Ana, Patricia and Luis, for making us feel home….and…wait for it, we ate Portuguese! Enjoy our country!

Friendly service, very punctual at booking time. We were going for the grilled fish, but the excessive prices (€74/kg for sea fish) made us turn to pan food. We ordered massada, curry and razor clam rice, the star of the lunch. Generous servings for one, short for two (we ordered six servings for four). What can we say about “Trinca Espinhas”? The truth is that I don't even know where to start... I'm going to try from the beginning. We chose “Trinca Espinhas” for its fun name and being close to the beach. Until now I don't understand the concept of the establishment. It's somewhere between a “rustic fisherman's hut” and an attempt at an irreverent and sophisticated establishment, but even with that the “Trinca Espinhas” disappoints, trying to be everything and ending up being nothing at all. We were served by the manager/owner who is not at all the kindest and most attentive person, on the contrary, throughout the service she appeared cold, distant and very arrogant. The location of the restaurant is simply amazing, with a spectacular view over the beach that creates a perfect setting to relax and enjoy the scenery. The decor is also beautiful and elegant, contributing to a pretty positive first Impression. However, unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations. The service was slow and disorganized, with employees seeming unattended and unprepared. The food is reasonable but without the quality you expect from a restaurant in this place and at these prices. Fantastic location, great creative food

We came on a Monday for a 3:30 pm lunch. This was our stop from Lisbon heading to Algarve. Fantastic fresh seafood. A few things were sold out (scallops , razor clams ). We had a prawn with garlic, shrimp & fish stew with tomatoes, peppers & mint, 3 kinds of fish, deconstructed pastel de Nata …. We were hungry and probably ordered too much …. And rice with sauce. So nice to enjoy by white sand beach !

The food was very good apart from the bread at the beginning which was dry. The waitress was not very pleasant and we waited 5 minutes before being able to get a table even though we had reserved. Fortunately, the location where the restaurant is located is magnificent.

Perfect lunch spot en route to Lagos

Stumbled across this place on our drive down from Lisbon to Lagos, and it ended up being the best meal we had all trip! The house reserve wine was devine (been trying to find a similar one since and can’t) and the food from the squid ink rice to the rasor clam rice was sooo good. Beautiful views too!

I can say that it was one of the restaurants that I felt best in my life. Excellent customer reception at the entrance of the restaurant, different food than normal, very helpful, friendly and polite service, great atmosphere, beautiful Island modern decor, and the best view of paradise. Excellent is the word for this experience. I liked the modern touch they give to each dish and the different fusions the chefs provide. We tried delicious black cuttlefish rice, a great choice. It's a little windy and open outside, on windy days it's better inside as we were advised, but the view is breathtaking, it feels like we're in the sea.

It's not a good gastronomic experience, however, if you go for the decor, you'll like it. I ordered some clams à bulhão pato, but only the shells came. PS: today I went for lunch at the restaurant “O Luís” which is about 3 minutes drive from “Trinca Espinhas” and it was a great surprise, it is a very typical traditional restaurant with excellent quality fish, in addition to the pleasant service, which incredible business card for the region. However, if you are looking for a shabby “Comporta Style”, I highly recommend a visit to this “Trinca Espinhas”.

Does not disappoint

Not being my first visit to this super pleasant space, I was surprised once again. This time it was a pot surprise, Grouper pasta was delicious and accompanied by a sparkling wine sangria. I highly recommend it. It's always a great pleasure to come here and be welcomed and attended to with such kindness.

We were afraid of the latest reviews but we did not dislike. It is not cheap and prices a bit excessive, but the food is nice and the space too. Service long but restaurant was full. We ate chocolate rice with ink and shrimp curry. I recommend both though the caril lacked sauce (suggestion for improvement). To repeat one day.
