Our hotel recommended this restaurant for typical Portuguese food. It certainly didn't disappoint. We arrived around 7 pm without a reservation and were seated immediately. There was an English version of the menu and the waiters and waitresses communicated well. We had the grilled lamb chops and a steak with garlic sauce, both were delicious. With soft drinks, chips, olives... More

Had a late lunch here on a hot July day. It's a nice, dark, interior. Had a tasty pork dish and some delicious red wine. Good straightforward food.

We tried this restaurant based on trip advisor reviews. The meal was wonderful! We had an amazing appetizer of garlic and mushrooms and the recommended bottle of wine and two entrées. The entire bill came to €45. The food quality was excellent. It did take a while for our entrées to come, but it was because they were making them fresh.... More

This was by far our best meal in Portugal. It's also very special as they serve local dishes - like soup with bread or pork with bread. We were 4 people. We had two soups (as a main dish) - there is a lot going for every soup dish believe me and it's delicious! Pork dish was outstanding. I'm not... More

Great restaurant. Although we had no reservation and the place was packed, they made room for us, making us feel welcome. Excellent regional food, Alentejo wines, exceptional service.

Been here several times. On a very narrow street, not far from the main square. Best authentic Portuguese food, great portions, good prices and friendly staff! Make sure to pay a visit here if visiting Evora. Please note they don't accept cards, bring cash. Black pork is amazing and also the codfish and the migas side made of bread.

Attentive english speaking owner. Excelent typical portuguese food. The owner explained that it takes a while to be served because it is cooked upon request. But that is probably why it is so tasty! Great quality versus fair price.

Recommended by our hotel, we were able to obtain a table without a reservation. The english speaking waiter was most helpful in explaining the local dishes and helping us make our selections. We enjoyed the starters which simply appeared and were added to our bill but the total cost was reasonable. Overall it was a modt enjoyable experince.
