We had a great experience. Lovely regional food cooked beautifully, superb wine selected by Chef, good company- the high table that everyone sits at means you meet and talk to other guests, the melted cheese entree with rosemary was to die for, welcoming owners. We were lucky to get in so best to book day before if you can. Only sits around... More

I had a brilliant dining experience with superb food. Cant recommend this place highly enough. Both he and his wife clearly love high quality food and entertaining guests. I travelled alone but I wouldnt let this put you off, the place lends to conversation with both hosts and fellow diners! As other have said, arrive early as this is not... More

Sit at the bar and let the owner, a warm and excellent host, guide you towards his best dishes. The mix of flavors and aromas is unbeatable. The wine was great and the food was absolutely incredible.

Plenty has been said about the delicious food at Botequim da Mouraria. Couldn't agree more. The ambiance is cozy (if you are averse to talking to your neighbors, this might not be the place for you), the ingredients are high quality, and the cooking is simple in a way that brings out the best of the dish. The owner is... More

A lovely place, great food and an unforgettable 4-hours talking with Domingos, the owner. But be prepared, as they only have place for 9 people, don't accept reservations and open at 7 pm for dinner. We arrived at 6h15 and I stuck at the door like a football quarterback. In 10 minutes we were 8 people standing there. At 7... More

The hospitable owner, cozy restaurant atmosphere and local comfort food make the perfect combination and the most unique dining experience in Evora. The owner will instantly charm you with his friendly and welcoming Portuguese service. Dinner at his counter of 9 seats felt more like we were in his home with friends than at a restaurant with strangers. In this... More

Very small, intimate dining experience (get there early)! Everything we ordered was superb - Portuguese home cooking at its best with warm and welcoming atmosphere. Good wines. Good prices.

We had gone there to luch but we arrived late, so we waited until dinner time and we managed to get in as we were only two. Mr. Domingos was very nice to us and so was his wife, the food was amazing, the place was beautiful! I highly recommend, and completely disagree with the negative reviews in here (yes,... More

You have have have to go to this place. The food is amazing. But it's not about the food it's the communal atmosphere of sharing food , laughs , chats with other patrons. It's intimate and the owners are amazing. We went on a rainy afternoon and ended up in a global community of people from all over the world... More

Nine seats at a bar. That's it. A warm and friendly host who takes the orders and serves the food and wine. His wife is in the kitchen and prepares the most amazing but down-to-earth food.
