We stopped in for a "quick" lunch break, discovered a top class place with delicious specialties (the "foi gras" is supreme!) and an extensive, very extensive wine offering. The idea of quick dissolved... quickly. Lovely atmosphere, excellent service!

We have been here 3 times on our travels and eaten different foods. I can't fault the food. So delicious well presented food at reasonable prices. Wonderful... a must!!

Amazing restaurante with amazing food. Service is médium, compensated by the freindlyness. Don't miss to drink wine from the region (Estremoz).

Just followed trip advisor recommendation. The food is great, we eat bacalhau and pork, and both were well done and tasty. For desert an apple ice cream. A little expensive but worth the visit!

We stopped here by chance for a quick lunch & chose the caldo verde. It was caldo verde but not your average caldo verde. Chorizo & couve in a dish and a thick, creamy potato soup poured over it. We would have loved the opportunity...More

We were very impressed with Gadanha Mercearia, really excellent gastronomic food beautifully presented. This very popular restaurant ( booking would be recommended I would suggest) is split in two sections; the dining room to the rear and the wine shop/deli section at the front, our...More

In the middle of Estremoz a fine example of what a regional restaurant should. The Mercearia (word for the old grocery store) still keeps its old vocation and sells wines, bread and other groceries. The interiors have renovated with good taste and dining room installed...More

Just on the corner of the plaza sits this inviting restaurant. Lots of people on the patio so we took a seat. Looked at the menu but decided on some tapas food. It was simply amazing! Croquettes of lamb were filling and comes with a...More

Hi, it's a bit uphill. I didn't try walking but it should take about 20 minutes (but I'm not sure). We had our car.
