Decided to visit the Bell during our visit to the area having read the excellent reviews. The welcome from Nick the landlord to this beautiful thatched pub was fantastic and he made us feel at home immediately. The selection of Adnams beers were spot on. We ate here for 2 consecutive evenings and the meals were fantastic. The chef was... More

We had a lovely night out at the Bell Inn. Our host was very welcoming and chatty and made us feel at home. I explained about my nut allergy and the chef came out to discuss the menu with me - turned out that everything was safe to eat. Great to have the full run of the menu, which doesn't... More

Met up with tow friends at the Middleton Bell. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant which was nearly full when we arrived. Menu was on blackboards and you ordered at the bar. The portions were a really good size and the range of food available was excellent. Service from the charismatic landlord was good. We had a Rib... More

The Bell is our local pub and we use it a lot. Normally for the excellent beer and food and fun. Last night we rang to book for Sunday lunch for myself ,my wife and father in law. Nick bent over backwards to fit us in as we needed to visit mother in law in hospital in the morning. Just... More

We popped into this pub as we'd had a quick drink on a previous visit to Suffolk and vowed to go back on our next visit for lunch. Absolutely loved it, Nick is very entertaining and the pub lunch - we had a granary baguette with prawns and the BEST chips on the side - was out of this world,... More

A great night at The Bell Inn. A warm welcome by the quirky but highly entertaining landlord, Nick. If you appreciate excellent food and generous portions at a great price then look no further. We had the most delicious and succulent lambs liver, the most scrumptious tomato and vegetable soup, roast pork and a delicious chicken dish served with the... More

The Bell is an idyllic country pub on the village green. Beautifully kept and presented. Jovial extrovert host. Good beers. And the most wonderful food cooked to order. We have now discovered that some of the meals such as the chefs renowned - and generous - liver and bacon casserole can be had in small portions, leaving room for pudding!... More
