Well where do you start? Fantastic evening out for so many reasons. The food is very good. 3 courses. Very good value. Well kept proper beer 🍻 straight from the barrel, so not all fizzed up through a Swan neck pump, why does anybody do that even? Extremely generous portions, but still very high level of cooking. Nice to have... More

Well it seems a lot of what we want to say has already been said The pub has a very welcoming "mine host" the beers are not the usual pulls but straight from the barrel all in a row at the back of the bar in their own cupboards and do not need assistance from a pump to fill a... More

Met friends here for lunch on a very wet Saturday in November. What hit me was how warm the pub was, even the ladies. The owner was exceptionally friendly. Lots to chose from. The portion size was huge and the service was excellent. We arrived at 12.30, our friends arrived at 13.00, we left at 15.45 and never felt rushed... More

My friend and I have lunch at this pub every fortnight. We used to go to different venues, but we really cant find anywhere locally to beat bit quite frankly. Nick, the landlord, is always charming and welcoming. The food is out of this world..... today Lamb rump, with a hot pot and great veggies, yummy. My friend had a... More

Headed to this pub with my wife for lunch based on recommendations on here. We saw it served food until 2pm and so headed over from the coast and arrived just after 1:45pm. You can imagine our surprise when the man behind the bar said that the kitchen was now shut. When pushed, apparently it was because he'd just taken... More

We go to The Bell often and it is one of my favourite pubs, anywhere. I like the pub side better than the restaurant side and I haven't eaten here for about two years. So when we decided on the spur of the moment to cross from the bar to the restaurant, it was without any real thought as to... More

I like a thatched Pub. Especially one with a long history, adjacent to a village green and serving excellent ale and splendid food. The owner supplied copius doggy treats and was keen to make us as welcome as possible. That does not happen that much in some establishments! I had chicken breast on a risotto. Cider was superb and I... More

We visited the Bell for the first time for a friend’s birthday. We had a walk around Walberswick to work up an appetite and then headed to the pub to warm up – it was ideal! Just what you want for a cosy, fuss-free pub, but with good food and good service. The pub was busy inside and out, but... More
