This is not a fancy restaurant, it's a simple, small, down to earth dining place with a varied japanese menu. It has a small parking spot for like 3 cars. This place was recommended to us for the ramen, so we went to get gyozas,...rolls and ramen. I have to say that the gyozas and the rolls were very good, but ramen was not up to the expectations. The meat was actually well-done pork stakes, not the kind of pork you would expect in a high quality place. I would definetly go back here but to try other rolls. On the other hand, service was kind, but a bit on the slow side, taking into account that there were not many people that day.More

As always, the restaurant offers fresh and great quality food. Sushi is always perfect and they continue to increase their menu variety. There service was a bit below their offered standard but nothing that will considerably affects their overall rating.

This restaurant allows you to enjoy excellent custom-made and unique sushi creations. Optimal freshness and savor on all their dishes. Nice small site which should enable personalized service but it was a bit slow and reactive.

We visited Satto tonight based on the previous reviews we saw here. Although we had a 9 pm reservation for 2, we showed up a bit early but still we were seated fast. After we ordered the apps and beers showed up in the first...ten minutes but after that we waited for about one hour for our sushi and sashimi order. The wait staff were not present at all, I had to get up and go to the sushi bar to ask to which they seemed dumb founded and a bit clueless about our order. After that it took them about 20 more minutes to deliver our rolls. The sushi was good but sadly it wasn't worth the wait.More

This is my favorite sushi spot in San Jose. The chain sushi/japanese restaurants are a lot more expensive and don't offer the same quality. The place is small but it has a cozy, personal feel to it. The service is always good. The bento box...lunch special is the best value. Around 10-12 bucks will do and it even comes with dessert!More

Everything is nice, the food is really good, but, the time we wait was not normal. At the time we arrive we asked for the starters which took almost an hour. And at that time the food came all togheter...... Except for that it's a...great place. I like it, perhaps they forgot our order but next time i go there the first thing im going to do is, to start with this comment for them to take it in count.More

If you go for lunch, you really get a great deal. They kill you on drinks though. My bill is usually half drinks and I only get iced teas for my children and myself. the teriyaki chicken is super good and they give you nice...size portions. One lunch meal is enough for myself and my two toddlers (2.5 and 4.5). I went once on the weekend and my bill was double that of a weekday lunch visit. Overall, this is easily my favorite place in Curri for sushi and chicken and friend rice. You won't retreat goingMore

After trying most of the restaurants that offer sushi in Costa Rica, I think that Satto is one of the best. Will go back for sure to try other Japanese dishes. Small, comfortable place in a quite neighborhood.

In the last 10 years, I've been literally to every major sushi bar/restaurant in Costa Rica. I often stick with a place before another catches my eye. I've tried Satto for 6 months now, and can now write a honest review of my experience, which...I summarize in 3 major points. 1- Rice Flavor and Consistency: by far is the best Rice mixture I've ever tried. Not too soft or not too dry. It's completly balanced and it's flavor is extraordinary. You won`t find this rice flavor in any other restaurant. 2-Fish Color, and Freshness: Since I first ordered 6 months ago, the quality of picking fish according to high standards of freshness and flavor have been a 11 out of 10 each time. 3- Owner's and Staff sympathy: A perfect meal is nothing without a great service. All the staff is always so nice and ready to meet your sushi needs. The owner is very friendly, and I assure you will leave Satto with a smile in your face, wanting to come back. Combining these 3 points for me I gotta say without doubt, Satto is the Best Sushi Restaurant in Costa Rica. Sergio L.P.More
