Came here on a cold night in December. We were the 1st people in there so were unsure what to expect. The place is tiny and has an interesting padded cushion wall, but if you can get beyond the slightly bizarre decor you are in for a treat we both had pasta one Bolognese and one Ostend special and they... Very friendly staff during a busy Saturday night. Without any reservation there was one table left. Lucky for us. The Fish was fresh, but the steaks were also very good. Would definitely visit again!

We ordered the lobster menu. The starter was a fish soup which was served with toasts. It was tasty. The second dish was a 1/2 (water) cocked lobster with vegetables. It was quite nice and delicious. The third dish was 1/4 of a lobster with rice. This dish was very greasy. Personally I prefer steamed rice; this wasn't like that.... More

After a delicious cream soup, the chef had demonstrated his skills by filleting the utmost fresh turbot fish, while the gills melted in our mouth; served with witloof; we appreciate very much our second visit to this nice restaurant, Peter Van der Aa knows how to serve first quality fresh fish We will make a reservation when we come to... I've been visiting this restaurant for years now each time I go to Oostend. They serve traditional good food. The Bouilabaise is one of the best I have ever eaten. Their proposed menu's are not expensive at all and are always tasty. A nice touch serving the soup from a big bowl as grandma did and they leave it on... More

I do not recommend this place at all ! Having been there for a first time (as the positive reactions convinced me to give it a try), it was a huge disappointment from beginning till end. The small tables are so close to one another that you can just follow the conversations of the tables next to you. Regular visitors... More

Just been back here for first time in a year, great as ever, had the Sunday menu with duck and apricots, fish quiche, soup, and dessert plus a nice Saint Verain. Lots of choice with a couple of cod or salmon main options and another fish, numerous starters including some nice croquettes and a crevette salad that fellow diners enjoyed.... More
