We searched on TripAdvisor for a location to have a relax drink and found this. Didn't expect to eat there but after a glass of excellent vine decided to stay and have dinner the the welcome was from the beginning warm, understanding and nice. After...all excellent food and choices of wine. And the owner found the time to speak with us and to explain. Even with all the hard working and with all the Covid restrictions. he wound the time to be very charming, fun and a delight. Excellent when you have the time for relaxing, while tasting the good wine and be patient for the good meal. We wish him all the best and good luck and thank him for turning our evening to a romantic and relaxing diner.More

We had read the reviews on TA and so reserved. Unfortunately we arrived very late (we had tried to ring but he had refused our calls as he was so busy), very stressed after a terrible journey, very hot, hungry and tired. We were prepared...to be turned away and go off in search of carbohydrates! However, the welcome was warm, understanding and timely as a table had just become free. What can I say? Absolutely excellent food and choices of wine. And the owner was working so hard whilst abiding by the Covid restrictions, so must have been very hot in his mask and exhausted. Yet he was charming, fun and a delight. Just a word of warning: the food may take a while to come, so be prepared to relax with a good wine and company! We wish him all the very best and thank him for turning our day completely around.More

We’ve been several times and are always charmed with the intimate vibe, the passionate but healthyly reserved service of the owner and the excellent food and wines. We always have the fish option, it’s perfect and nowhere around you are being served such great wines...in a healthy price range.More

Excellent food and wine. Honest food, everything is fresh and made on the spot, the art of real cooking. Great wines, good prices. We had a lovely evening.

We were three with a baby, warmly welcomed. The owner does a great job, handling both with taking care of customers and cooking really good dishes. Not so many tables, not so many choices in the menu but it is worth. To be visited!

I stepped into the place on Wednesday evening without a reservation after looking for the place on google maps for some time, and the chef was so kind to get me table. The place is beautiful, it feels so cozy and warm. He then offered...a delicious tomato soup and bread, it was so great I kept smiling with each spoon of it. I then had some mussels which was just the best. Thank you for hosting me.More

Had the suggested fish menu which was “lotte” with gin based sauce and potatoes. Sauce was with dried tomatoes, herbs, garlic and spinach - absolutely a great delicious combo. Best fish dish I ever had. Maybe reconsider to start eating more fish as I normally...stick to meat or chicken...The place is tiny though so do reserve a table in advance. Very cozy setting. The male waiter was super friendly and kept checking that everything was ok. The chef also came up to chat a bit. All in all one of cutest, very charming, cozy, and most delicious restos I’ve been in.More

We found this restaurant by looking at TripAdvisor and it did not let us down. We were given a choice of two menus chicken or fish on one and pasta on the other. we waited a little while until we realized that the chef was...also the waiter. But the short wait was well worth it, I can honestly say that this was one of the best meals I have had in a very long time. So, do go if you are in Ostend, might be advisable to book. He also runs a Thai restaurant not far away.More

There were a limited number of suggestions, but the dishes were very tasty and freshly made. In addition, they have a great knowledge of wine. It's a cosy place to sit.
