I recall having Belgium waffles at the 1965 World's Fair and knew I had to have an actual Belgium waffle in Belgium. We were not disappointed with Chez Albert. The waffles are made in front of you and you pick your topics. Absolutely delicious. We...took the hot waffle and stood on the street to share the Delicious delicacy. If you find yourself in Bruges this is the place to get your waffles.More
My wife and I recently were in Europe and we took a day tour from Amsterdam to Bruges. Our tour guide recommended several places to try local delicacies like waffles, chocolate, and beer and Chez Albert was one of them. There was a small cart...selling waffles when we got off the tour bus and many people ran to the cart for waffles, but take mine and the tour guide's advice and hold out until you are in the heart of Bruges to try these waffles at Chez Albert. They are made fresh in front of you are served piping hot of the iron. They have multiple toppings to try. My wife went with the fresh whipped cream and I went with the cherries. The waffles themselves are delicious. They are caramelized and crispy on the outside and fluffy and flavorful on the inside. The whipped cream my wife got was very good and the cherries I got made you feel like you were eating a fresh slice of warm cherry pie. Please if you find yourself in Bruges check this place out. You won't regret it.More
Belgian waffles were really good. There are option in having it plain or with whip, strawberries and chocolate. One waffle with toppings ranges from 5-6 euros which is a bit much. Many are tourists there so I guest it’s one of the reasons.
Service was quick and the waffle was delicious. We spent time trying to find a waffle place that was recommended to us but decided to go to this one instead and happy that we did. Definitely grab a waffle here while in Bruge.
This is the best blend of great taste and great price. At 4 euros or so, the waffle is a steal. Of course, there is a big line for the waffle, located at one of the lanes leading to the main square. But trust me,...the taste can outwit any other waffle house in Bruges. Felt bad for the other waffle shop opposite whom very less people were interested in. But we tasted that one too, and it was good too..but Chez Albert is something else.More
Never been a big fan of waffles, but I prefer them to pancakes.
Went here because you have to try waffles in Belgium, and this place had the best reviews...MY OH MY!!! Never at any time have I had a waffle that tastes like this!!!...Ridiculously delicious!
All the ingredients a high quality and it's simply to die for. Needless to say we went back for more, and I keep looking up flights just to go back and have more. That's not an exaggeration...that's how much I enjoyed these waffles!
We tried another place in the town centre thinking that all waffles would be just as good...but they weren't. Chez Albert is something special!!!
