Lovely welcoming place away from the main touristic places that in Brugge might become overwhelming. Very good food choices for a quick refreshing pit stop and offering interesting Belgian beers, bottled as well as from the tap.

Popped in here after a day of wandering around, and on the way back to our hotel. My wife was easy to choose a beer for, but I was undecided about what was on offer. The lady serving was most helpful in explain where some...beers were made and bring samples of various ones to try. A lovely little place in a quiet area, which serves food, but cannot vouch for that. We were not here with enough time to sample that. If you are this side of town then pop in.More

I wouldn’t particularly recommend, people were rude & unfriendly. It is open for very limited times and I don’t think they like tourists at all. Food was very very average if not poor. Wine was awful.

We were strolling around Bruges away from the centre and then a sudden downpour "forced" us inside. What a lucky find! Cosy inside with friendly staff. We had a great beer tasting and the food was good and fresh. Close to the canal further away...from Jean van Eck statue.More

I asked politely if it was possible to seat and have a coffee and I have never been talked this rudely. I have been told that the door was closed and the sign I haven't seen said it was closed and been talked as if...I was fool. Well the door was opened and I haven't seen any sign. Just telling me 'sorry we're closed' would have been enough. But this really mean women literally throw me out. How can people this rude can have a coffee shop? Well in Bruges because there are lots of tourists locals seems to loose their hospitality and that is really sad.More

In Bruges for weekend and we were walking around when the heavens opened. I have to say that the gods wanted us to find Cafe Bistro Terrastje. Friendly, great beer and very welcoming. The owner was informative about the area and had no compunction to...recommend a nearby restaurant for lunch. Will definitely revisit on this trip.More

We went here because the Rick Steves guide recommended it. Turns out it's not actually worth the recommendation. The it's more of a pub with a very limited menu. They serve lots of beer to the smokers at the outside tables and enough smoke drifts...in so that you don't want to linger over dinner if you don't smoke. All in all I would say look for another restaurant.More

Our group of 10 turned up here. The terrace was full but the inside empty however the owner refused to serve us. We weren’t drunk or anything, just looking for a place to have a beer.
