Good Flemish fare and not overly priced! The service, 'quirky' feel and the well priced local menu make this place well worth a visit. Food is fairly basic, but tasty and traditional - would highly recommend it if you want a place, off the beaten track, to have an evening meal!

My husband and I went to The Habit on recommendation from a work colleague. It did not disappoint. I was gently persuaded by Ingrid to have something other than the standard steak! The Flemish stew, with local beer, Paljas was a definite winner. My husband had the mussel Sophia Lauren and was beaten. This is a massive serve and beautifully... More

Had a wonderful meal at The Habit and really enjoyed the personal and quirky atmosphere. The food was the best i had had in Bruges and the couple who ran the restaurant were very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely return next time I am in Bruges!

We found the habit by accident after stumbling out of T'Brugs beertje next door. Ingrid was lovely and immediately welcoming. We had numerous dishes. Highly recommend the scampi starter and the Flemish stew was incredible. Had a fun time and would highly recommend if you are looking for a tasty, rustic and relaxed meal.

We came across this wonderful restaurant on our second and last night in Bruges, having had a OK but expensive meal at one of the city's (very) many other eating places the night before.* The Habit is small, quirky, very friendly, and serves great food, all well prepared and compared to the previous night, excellent value. When we next come... More

This family run small quirky restaurant was a real find. Cost less than other places but large, home cooked meal with personal and friendly service. Cooked individually but worth the wait.

We happened to come across this restaurant by chance and we are SO grateful we did. The food was incredible. Great price yet big portion sizes and the couple who ran it were so hospitable and welcoming. Would DEFINITELY recommend it!!

I ordered a traditional Flemish stew with fries and it was a spot on! I am happy, that I am leaving Belgium having experienced proper Belgian fries, the country is famous for. Great house red as well and all reasonably priced. One thing they don't serve tap water, but gentelman charged me for a glass, not whole bottle.

I asked the owner chef to order for me and he brought me the Flemish stew. It was delicious!. My husband had the mussels. His dish was seriously huge. As I watched him eat I wondered how he could possible finish. But he did! The sauce was delicious too. The ambiance is eclectic and everyone we encountered super friendly.

We discovered this restaurant our first night in Brugge. We had the best meal. I ordered the steamed mussels which were the best that I've ever had. Growing up In New England, in the states, I grew up eating/appreciating seafood. The mussels were fresh, not sandy and were perfectly steamed with garlic, butter, and white wine. The portion was huge... More
