We were super excited to try this place. We had seen many videos on TikTok and put it on our must visit list. Well, it was unreal! There is an option to take away or dine in, we opted to sit inside after waiting 10 minutes for a table. It’s a bonus that you can see the chefs cooking whilst you sit and wait. I would recommend this place to anyone who plans to visit Brugges. Very flavoursome, ahh!

We happened to pass this charming cafe when we needed a snack and it was a good choice. The ambience of the cafe is very pleasant and so are the staff. We were seated and served very promptly and the food was delicious. We shared chips with pulled pork and the serving was plentiful and had a gorgeous flavour. Well done Fritbar. We may well be back.

We really enjoyed our lunch at Fritbar. The staff were friendly, service was quick and most importantly the food was great. We ordered fries each, with beer stew dip with one and curry ketchup with the other. We shared cheese balls too. Everything was piping hot, delicious and served quickly but never felt rushed. So good we came back twice,

I ordered fish and chips and they brought me food full of mayonnaise and parsley without asking first, wrong.

In Italy it would be called a frit pub,
The place is in the center, we ate very well, opting for fish and chips and a plate with chips, beef and cheese on top. The waiter (very kind) recommended two local beers which were good. I recommend the place if you want something quick, even just to drink.

Snack with chips: the price is definitely not cheap. A medium chip with truffle mayonnaise, a barbecue and a bottle of water €9.70.
Each sauce has an additional cost of €1/1.50. The potatoes are good, but don't justify the cost. Ok we are in Belgium but we need to see it again.

The four of us visited FritBar on 6/14/24. It was mobbed but somehow we found seating.
In short, our meals were great! Each of us ordered different dishes. The one who raved the most was our vegetarian friend who ordered a vegan burger. All I know is he was going on and on about how amazing it was and the best vegan burger he’s ever had. Another ordered a platter with fries, cheese, ground beef and spices. Another ordered a beef stew and I ordered a burger. Everyone agreed we all really enjoyed everything.
While not “high cuisine”, it was more than solid. As a business owner, I was particularly impressed with how well it was run. Orders were quickly taken, food came out extremely fast and hot and well prepared. Everything was so efficient. The facilities were clean, modern and well maintained. Decor was cute enough.
In other words, I feel it is no accident this place is successful. We were quite happy we stumbled on this establishment. For what it was, it was perfect!

Savory fries, thick rich umami flavor. The fries were just ok. Why do people obsess about the fries here? It was about $16 for one fry entree that I shared with my husband as an app before we went somewhere else for dinner.

Fast service, warm atmosphere, clean toilets and very friendly staff. In the heart of Bruges, fritbar will serve you good fries in all sauces. I have no point of comparison with other Belgian fries, but I was delighted with my hearty “traditional stew”. Bruges beer is also very good.

Perfect an kind location with belgian Soulfood!
We visited the Fritbar with a 4 year old and a 7 month old baby. The waiter was very kind, the foodwas tatsy and the drinks were cold. Prices are absolutely fine!

The staff are always friendly and welcoming, I ordered the chicken twist, which is chips with fried chicken, peanut satay sauce, fresh onions, spring onions, an onion ring, herbs, mayo and tomato sauce for 11 euros. It is so so tasty and the portions are huge you cannot leave this place hungry. The service is so fast and the food is piping hot and freshly made. It has a modern vibe and is decorated brilliantly. It is located at a prime spot viewing the St Johns hospital out the window. If you are visiting bruges, this is a must.

An evening bubbling with character and charm, courtesy of the owner and his daughter.
The food is enough to give this restaurant a high score, however the extra delight comes from the owner and his daughter who add such a special charm.
They are both kind and engaging, but still give you the space to enjoy your meal in quiet comfort.
The restaurant is famed for its chips (Frites), which are a must, especially accompanied by delicious truffle mayonnaise. However they also have loads more on offer and we enjoyed indulging in chicken wings and meat balls; people next to us were clearly enjoying their huge burgers.
This is a perfect restaurant for a quick meal, but we could have stayed for ages, just soaking up the ambience and drowning in their excellent, ice cold, beer selection.

The fries were excellent, crispy on the outside and melting on the inside, a real treat! I had opted for a bacon mayo sauce, which did not totally convince me, but it remains a matter of taste. Everything else was impeccable, both in terms of quality and service. However, be careful during peak hours: there is often a long queue at noon. From the moment we entered to the moment we left Sanam was amazing. She was patient with us as a couple of our party werevegetarian and talked us thru the menu items and made some great frittes and topping combos with local Bruges beer. Home made Pork Stew topping was incredible. Would definitely recommend this to tick off your Belgian frites craving.

We went with a family of six. There was a bit of a wait but everyone in the party agreed it was worth it even though we had tired feet from walking around Bruges all day.
The Belgium Stew Fries, Pulled Pork Fries & Sweet Chicken burgers were the stars of our order. Would definitely recommend.
