Loved the short stroll to get to the bistro which is placed in a really pretty and quite area of Bruges. Decor is quite funky and really enjoyed the soundtrack! They have great taste in music (sort of retro, vintage decor and sixties/seventies soundtrack - think beetles!) Menu was varied, not too long with some good examples of 'traditional' dishes... More

This restaurant focuses on producing the best examples of Belgian classics. Their beef stew was mind blowing and my girlfriend loved the moules. If you want a giant bland tourist menu with spaghetti and meat sauce like the restaurants around the canal then don't come here.

I read all the positive reviews but was really underwhelmed by the food. Service was good and staff were friendly but the menu was basic and uninspiring and food was very average. There were 4 of us in our party and the quality was consistent across all of our 3 courses. I have visited Bruges quite a few times and... More

I visited Pro Deo with a friend on a gorgeously sunny day. We managed to grab the last table outside. We were considering mussels, but the sole ordered by the couple next to us looked just too appealing. The food was great, and the portions were huge. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant was a bit pricy, but as... More

We went to Pro Deo for lunch with high expectations considering its #3 TA ranking of all restaurants in Bruges. We were disappointed as it did not live up to its ranking. It is very dated inside and the food is very average. We had a much better meal at Reliva, which is #6 in the TA rankings.

We had two nights in Bruges and had heard that the town gets very busy at this time of year and booking early for restaurants was a must. I booked via email which was easy to do and confirmed in short order. Whilst the tourist count was reduced in general (for sadly obvious reasons), and many places had plenty of... More

I came here with my boyfriend, mum and sister for my 21st birthday meal. I had the flemish stew which was nice and everyone else enjoyed their mussels. Quite pricey but very quirky place with great service. The owner surprised me with a waffle with a huge sparkler on it - the whole restaurant sang happy birthday and it was... More

What a quirky restaurant - I'm talking decor. The food is traditionally Flemish and there's plenty of it, and very tasty. We both had the Flemish stew, slow cooked with beer. The chef's wife, Natalie, is excellent, serving drinks and and food cheerfully and speedily. Good ambience, mid price range. Well away from the touristy part of Bruges.

Food to die for, Hospitality to die for what more could you ask for, oh and the background music is stunning.
